After arriving from QF819, i had a slow brisk walk towards the lounge precinct where i had access to the Qantas Business Lounge. Below are a few snap shots for you to get a hold on the basic amenities found within the lounge.
To get to the Business lounge, one would need to walk through the Qantas club.

Let us peruse the lounge menu for this evening:

Some shots around the lounge:
Some salad of sorts

Hot food - Braised beef in red wine with Penne

Some sweet treats

Salads and cheeses

The Exotic Multigatawny soup

My favourite place to sit in the lounge is the high tables opposite the buffet area. Prime position to people watch and with ample power sockets under the table as well.

There's always a plate of apples that is always replenished.

Showers and toilet to the left, and more seating. Magazine rack towards the end.

Finally it was time to board, and once onboard i ripped open the blanket to put it on as the aircraft was a wee bit chilly!
Notice i had unlimited legroom due to the position of the seat and the curvature of the aircraft.

Let us familiarise ourselves with our surroundings!
There is a large side table of sorts that is used to 'block' the middle seat.

Even though it is a middle seat, the business class leg room is not compromised

After takeoff, we start off with a Bloody Mary and a pack of savoury pretzels.

Let us peruse the menu on this flight tonight:

We start off with the Fennel, orange and black olive salad with confit tuna, with accompanying salad and bread.
Interesting dish, tuna was cooked perfectly, but the olive was not pitted, which almost broke my teeth.
After the small plate, we move on to the Chicken parmigiana with chargrilled eggplant and provolone as our large plate option
Pretty spectacular dish, the chicken and parmigiana and eggplant worked together marvellously, a 5* dish that can be enjoyed in any good cafe around Australia! :D

After the main was removed, we proceed on to dessert, which was a fruit plate or cheese plate. As i was too full, i opted the the 'liquid diet' option that was the luscious botrytis semillon + a florentine option. This was complemented by tea.
The rest of the flight was pretty uneventful, and we were on descent to PER pretty soon.
Then it's off to the lounge to await the next flight, QF568! :D

Another good flight with QF. I like their catering wich is simple but uses fresh products and is tasty.
The lounge is well stocked . Compared to what US airlines serve for the same type of domestic flights it's great !
Presentation leaves a little to be desired and chicken parmi is a little low-brow for business class, but at least it tasted fine.
