Even though this is my I don't know how many time flying SQ865 to Singapore from Hong Kong, this is my first time reviewing SQ's next generation economy product, especially it is only until recently that they have regularly deployed its next generation product to Hong Kong.
No matter how little time I have, I always fit in a visit to one of my favourite lounges in HKG: the SQ SKL
The sun went down pretty quickly after our sort-of ontime departure and I settled down with writing the Lady in the Van.
The crew first came around with nuts and drinks (no more drink carts!) and then with meals.
I choose Braised Beef for the night. Was excellent.
And I treated myself to my favourite drink before landing into Changi

I do believe it is quite a close call between Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines on this route - but I do feel SQ edges CX out just by a bit.
