Hello everyone
Once again another short flight between Colombia and Ecuador. However I decided to post this one as I have not posted this route before.
As usual my flight started in Cali taking the first flight of the day at 5:19 which left on time and 35 minutes later I was landing in Bogotà.
Arriving to Bogota

Bogota got the Skytrax award as the best airport in South America 2018

Love the view

After immigration I went to the Avianca's Diamond Lounge. You got nice views from there

It was soon time to board our A320 for this short 1h30m flight. We were greeted by the Ecuadorian based crew. OJ or water was offered.

During push back this E190 from Tame the Ecuadorian Airline showed up doing the UIO-BOG-UIO leg

Flight was full both in business and economy, after everything was set, we were up in the air

After the seatbelt sign went off headphones were given as well as a hot breakfast with two options were offered which is great for this short flight

Breakfast was not great but tasted ok, I mean other airlines serve nothing on short flights like this one.
In no time we were already descending and close to land at Jose Joaquin de Olmedo Airport

On our way to immigration, Ecuadorian music is played as a welcome for visitors, nice touch

Everything was quick and efficient and I was ready to take my ride to my home city Cuenca as there is not flight from GYE.

Conclusion

I fly Avianca from 6 to 8 flights a month both nationals and these short international flights, people nowadays are complaining a lot about the airline and its delays and bad service but I rarely have had problems with them and if so they have been resolved in a good way.

Catering is not always the best but for this short flights it is not a factor however breakfast was ok. Crew is always attentive, so no complaints on this one

Lounge at Bogotà is good but in my opinion not at the level of their new national VIP lounges
