au revoir gironde!
As part of my job, I have been travelling to Bordeaux a lot of times in the past year, up to a weekly basis at some point. This was the first time I experienced a "regular" flying experience, where even some crew member might recognise and greet me!
I know this is just a small domestic flight, and it is hard to make it interesting but I'll try my best!
Flying blue Miles earned with this flight: 498
Status earned: 2 XP
Air France doubling the XP status in 2020: 2 additional XP

Fortunately, my job let us choose the airline we want to fly with, and so as a Flying blue frequent flyer I did not choose the orange plane over Air France..
Air France app is quite comprehensive, you can easily navigate through options, travel tips, and of course your bookings and the service you will have on board.. Of course, like many others, the app offers you the possibility to check in online and get your boarding pass.

As all of the Air France Hop flights; you can't choose your seat at booking, regardless of your Skyteam membership status. I am still not sure why the E190/170 and CRJ700/1000 fleet is the exception…
However you can during check-in, which I did, based on the cabin map provided:

at bordeaux - merignac airport
I arrived with our super star of taxi, and went through security really fast:
- during covid times there was barely anyone at the airport at 6pm during a weekday
- I was travelling light as usual, with just my cabin suitcase.
A good thing to know when you flight onboard the CRJs is that, even if you only have a cabin luggage, it will have to be dropped at the plane door and to be placed in the small hull under the cabin.

Going through security at BOD at terminal B is always super fast, it is a narrow corridor just behind the AF checkin counters; and on the boarding zone there are just a few shops and a large waiting area.

We were called to board on time; with the Skypriority respected, premium passengers were called first.
And as you can see there are more and more "sky priority" passengers.

Not the door shot but the fuselage one!
What a light reflection!

One of the benefit of boarding amongst the first is to have the cabin almost for yourself, so you can take pictures!
Since my previous flight was in a CRJ700; you can spot the differences in the cabin, it feels refreshed and newer here:

The crew was really professional and gave us a warm welcome, followed by the usual announce by the captain thanking us for flying wtih Air France.
Service was complimentary, but drastically reduced to a hot or cold drink: tea/coffee or juices.

Since the first lock down, Air France stopped printing its magazine, and so it is digitally that you can discover it:

A comprehensive dossier on Kyoto..

I don't pay any particular attention to AF terms of flying, this image of an A350 winglet next to it was beautiful!

We landed and parked at the S gates this time, not sure why I always thought U is for domestic and S international.
