Hi,
Security was rather speedy that afternoon and soon I had a quick snack and drink at the T1 Lounge that Lufthansa entitles its Gold status guests access to. The Lounge is spacious and provides a basic selection - however it gets very crowded easily. Also you only are allowed to maximum 2 alcoholic drinks free of charge - very rare for airport lounges.
Boarding started on time and in an orderly manner. I took my window seat next to the nice engine.
The Lufthansa cabin still looks stylish and clean in my opinion.
We started taxiing and departed into rainy skies.
Climbing out towards the Irish Sea.
Soon a free bottle of water was distributed to everybody. On this flight the whole cabin crew was very friendly, motivated and chatty - nice to see as this normally is very rare on Lufthansa flights.
Some nice sunset atmosphere while we headed towards the East.
Next the buy on board service started.
I had pre-ordered online a salad for ca. 10 EUR. As October special pre ordered meals currently come with a free of charge soft or hot drink. I decided for a Coke Zero.
The meal looked nice and also tasted rather fresh and good. It came with a small bread roll that was however rather boring.
All in all it was not a bad meal - it also came with a welcome refreshing towelette.
Free of charge chocolates were also offered later into the flight.
The rest of the flight cabin lights were dimmed and we landed on time and parked at Terminal 2 of Munich.
Thanks for reading,
