Welcome to Mumbai! Today I’ll be flying to Mauritius on Air Mauritius’ A330-900neo in their Business Class cabin. I proceeded to the priority check-in counter and checked in really quick. 

After check-in I headed through Security and immigration which was crowded at this time of day, the Business/First class line was backed up 40 minutes. Thankfully they opened another line for premium passengers.

After immigration I headed to the Adani East Business Class lounge which was bright and spacious with a lot of seating options. 

There was a good spread of Indian and continental food on offer.

Boarding

Boarding began about 20 minutes late but was decently efficient. Today’s aircraft was a 6 year old Air Mauritius A330-900neo (3B-NBU)

The business class cabin has 28 seats in a 1-2-1 staggered configuration.  

I headed down the aisle to seat 6J, which was closer to the window. The even numbered window seats offer far more privacy as the odd numbered seats are closer towards the aisle. 

Waiting at my seat was a blanket, a pillow and a Porche Design amenity kit which we’ll get into after takeoff.

The seat offers a lot of legroom, however the there is a bit of a gap between the footwell and the window. 

I was offered a non-alcoholic welcome drink and chose the watermelon juice. 

The door closed soon after and we were on schedule for slightly delayed departure from Mumbai. 

After takeoff

After departure the crew came around with a hot towel.

The amenity kit was standard and included a pair of socks, eyeshade, some lotions, toothbrush & toothpaste as well as a pen.

Soon followed the first of two meals on this morning’s 6 hour flight.

I was offered a chicken salad sandwich and a cucumber cheese and dill sandwich, both served cold. I was also offered tea or coffee which the crew presented on a trolley.

I checked out the entertainment system which had a decent selection of new movies and TV shows, however the headphones were pretty disappointing and low quality. I decided to use my own wired headphones.

I chose to try and get a few hours of sleep before landing into Mauritius. The bedding was comfortable but since there was a gap between the footwell and the window, it was a little uncomfortable.

A few hours later I was woken up for breakfast.

 I chose the omelette, which was served with a bowl of fruit, a yogurt cup and a croissant. The omelette was unfortunately dry.

The A330neo offers external cameras which was nice to see the views descending into Mauritius.

We landed into Mauritius on time and had a seamless immigration process before I picked up my suitcase and headed to Le Morne.
