Hi,
I checked in at the recently renovated First Class area (having access via Star Alliance Gold status). The area looks modern although I liked the more open design before the changeover more. Staff was very cold and not interested in providing a premium service this morning.

Heading over to the satellite building of T2 and visiting the K gates Senator Lounge over there. Some pictures of the lounge which was well occupied that time of the day. Also here service was very slow and cold with staff doing just their job.

I had a quick breakfast.

Heading to boarding which already had started when reaching the gate. A dedicated separate airbridge was used for Business Class today which is very rare on narrowbody flight but very welcome as it calms down boarding atmosphere a lot.

Taking my window seat of that older Lufthansa A321 - still with a good pitch.

We were docked next to a nice A380 and it took a while until we finally started pushback with a delay of ca. 20 minutes.

Taxiing and in the queue for departure on this 3 hour flight across Europe.

We took off into cloudy skies.

Service started with the distribution of menus which offered a choice between 3 warm main courses - a change since Lufthansa updated ints European flight's catering concept just 2 weeks ago - no more 'Tasting Heimat' and more choices is the new way forward.

Next hot towels were offered.

Soon the very attentive and good mood cabin crew started aperitif service where I had the very tasty Lufthansa signature Avionic cocktail.

About 20 minutes later meal trays were distributed with warm breads and more drinks. I had the fish as main course which was very tasty as was the whole meal.

Drink refills were continously offered which is rare on Lufthansa. The crew provided a perfect service I did not have for a very long time on Lufthansa.

Next were hot drinks.

I chatted a lot with the friendly crew and I was extremely surprised when they offered me some Lufthansa cups as a farewell present:

Chocolates were also offered towards the end of the flight.

The Lufthansa FlyNet portal offers some welcome flight tracking.

Having some nice views above the Iberian peninsula before we started descend into Lisbon.

Some nice views of Lisbon before landing.

Docking at the gate and some last views on my plane of today:
