Hello everybody,
Since I am a flight-reporter for over two years ago writting reports in my native language, French, I've decided now to make some international versions of my flight-reports in order to exercise myself and perform my English practice, but also to make my reports more accessible for international community.
So first, I need to introduce quickly myself: my name is Sacha, I'm 24 years old and I have been travelling regularly by plane since I started working more than three years ago.
This report takes place in a leisure trip for my Easter vacations in april 2023, so I decided to visit an European country and I was interested by visiting Croatia, a country that particularly attracted me. After choosing first Zagreb as my destination, I finally went for Dalmatian coast. Since at the time of this flight I lived in Grenoble for my fixed-term contract in an insurance company, I needed to use either LYS or GVA as my home airports. After cancelling my Lufthansa tickets to Zagreb, I found an interesting issue : an outbound flight with Easyjet including Speedyboarding and one large handluggage. Initially, I was supposed to fly back home with KLM via Amsterdam for wednesday 5 april 2023, for a reasonable price of €160. At the time of this trip, I had never before flown with KLM. Finally, since my two KLM flights were cancelled due to a general strike in Netherlands, I was quickly refunded by KLM and then rebooked a return ticket for the tuesday 4 of april, this time with Lufthansa group airlines (Austrian and Swiss) with a layover at Vienna. As a consolation, I've never flown with Swiss by the time of this trip, and incidentally this was also my first time onboard an Airbus A220.
GENEVA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Despite I managed to spend one night in an hotel near Geneva Airport since my flight departs at 10:05 a.m., I arrive quite late at Geneva Airport, due to the low frequency of the bus which leads to Geneva airport. Once I reached the departures area, I need to go upstairs to proceed to security checkpoint. I'm very in a hurry, so I took very few photos of the concourse. Anyway, once security controls were cleared, I made my way to D pier where my flight is scheduled to depart from, and which is very far from the security area, so it was a real sprint to go to my boarding gate.

Once upon reaching the D pier, I made my way to Speedyboarding lane and waited for the gate opening.

FLIGHT EASYJET U21503 TO SPLIT
So, let me take some photos of my Airbus A320 and of another Easy A32X and of a LOT Embraer 175.

Fuselage shot.

My plane was featured with with Recaro SL3510 slimline seats, with a 28-29'' pitch. I proceeded to my seat 13F. Since I was seated at en emergency exit row, I took care by putting all my belongings away into the overhead compartments.

Also because my seat were an emergency exit one, legroom was sufficient for this flight.

Easyjet seatbacks are fitted with different marketing publicities, and on emergency exit seats, any security instructions are fitted in the seatback tray table.

After a short taxiing, we quickly took off at the North of Léman Lake. Weather was very cloudy this morning over Geneva, and by the way, since I was seated at the right side, I was not able to see Geneva and Léman Lake this time.

We acrossed the cloud layer around 10:20 a.m. So, I cannot see anything anymore for the moment.

While waiting for it, let's take a look at the seatback content : safety card, buy-on-board menu and onboard duty-free magazine, which looks quite complete, with very interesting items. However, since I have already took my breakfast at my hotel before leaving, I did not order anything from the menu.

The sky becomes now clear, which gives us some fantastic views of the Alps :

While we're leaving Alps behind us, we're already approaching Mediterranean coast, and we'll go along it during the remainder of the flight.

.

While reaching the Croatian coastline, we're begining positionning for approach by turning left first. Once again, I am on the wrong side for the views of Split, but the views are still scenic on the Mediterranean sea and the Dalmatian Islands.

SPLIT KASTELA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Around 11:30 a.m. we're quietly touching down the runway. By the way, Split airport has one only runway, which is used both for take-offs and landings operations.

Our plane is quickly joining his parking. Alike our flight used a foot boarding at GVA, we'll also disembark with a stair bridge.

As soon as the plane stopped moving, all passengers leave their seats and collect their cabin luggage and personal belongings.

Since we're parked at a remote stand, we're using covered stairs to leave the plane and then reach by foot the terminal.

We used a glass walkway directly from the tarmac upon entering the terminal to join the huge baggage claim area. Personally, I make a stop to the toilets which are very modern and clean.

After that, I head towards exit and get to the bus stop and reach town centre by bus.

I really enjoy the Split Airport's architecture, for example the mushrooms-shaped architecture outside.

I then go through this walkway which goes over the road surface.

Amazing ornament !

For my part, I have to reach the bus stop to go downtown. Thank you very much for reading, see you soon for the next trip report !
