In order to renew my Star Alliance GOLD status with Miles+Bonus I decided to buy a 4 leg ticket with Aegean Airlines, LHR-ATH-LCA-ATH-LHR, using the complimentary seat upgrades for all the flights. The first leg was out of Heathrow brand new terminal 2, the Queen's Terminal, for me one of the best and most functional terminals I ever visited.
Still on the ground welcome drinks were served: a choice of still water, orange juice and champagne.

Rather than usual at LHR, take off was on time:
Just after take-off hot towels were handed over by the crew and card menus were also given to each C class passenger (8 pax in total), explaining the service for this 3h15 flight. Candy were also distributed for the entire cabin. Soon after crew came with drinks and crackers before the lunch service.
After this a towel was set for the lunch service. The appetizer plate, together with cheese selecion followed shortly thereafter. The appetizer consisted of manouri cheese pineseeds on crispy spinach leaves, escarole and salad leaves, goji berries and honey mustard vinaeigrette and the feta cheese and kasseri cheese with dried fruits.

After this the crew to take note of the preferences for the main course. My option was for the beef and artichoke hearts in lemon finocchio sauce with cretan pasta striftoudi and cretan greens.

Meanwhile outside view, overflying the Swiss Alps.
The onboard service continues now with the excellent dessert plate, accompanied with a capuccino.

After this was time for a new round of hot towel service and before landing drinks were offered again.
All in all Aegean Airlines offers an excellent business class product on European flights, in my opinion one of the best in the industry.
Very pleasantly surprised once again, but the good J product on Aegean. The soft product is certainly good with a very nice meal offering for an intra-Europe flight, but living in the US, I'm not a big fan of the European Business class hard product--just regular Y seats with the middle blocked. I prefer a true wider premium seat. All in all a good flight. Thanks for sharing!

Yes that's true. The only difference on the meal service between the LHT-ATH and LCA-ATH flight is that, on the short flight, the tray contains the appetizer and the main course, all together, to save time. But the type of meal service has the same contentes, which is very good for a short flight of about 1h30.
