Hi guys, this flight report is about the flight I took from Hong Kong to Brisbane, Australia in April 2015. Sorry if the amount of pictures in this report is not abundant coz I did not think of writing a report when I took the flight. I purchases the round-way economy ticket for around HK$3600 under the Fanfare campaign held by Cathay.
So anyway the trip started with arriving at HK airport, checking in, going through immigration and eating MacDonald's' as usual..
So this is the can't-be-more-typical pic for HKG, the main gateway with a large proportions of gates along the way.
Just a bit plane-spotting out there. Singapore Airlines, Korean Air, China Airlines followed by Dragon Air and Cathay
Our plane today! A330-300, a typical model for CX's flight for Aussie routes. Fitted with economy, premium economy and long-haul business classes
Gate 43 for this flight today.
Flying in the sky…
Just a glance at the economy cabin. It is always my preference to sit at pretty rear side of the plane. 2-4-2 econ seat arrangement for CX's A330s.
Flying across the Pacific Ocean…
First meal of the day: Lunch.
I picked the Chinese-styled beef rice. Quite good taste. The appetizer by the way is turkey with couscous and mixed vegetable salad, not really my taste…
And yes ice-cream as dessert :)
Hours later we welcome the sunset. This flight flies from around 12pm till 2330 in Aussie time. So I almost literally spent my whole day on plane…
Second meal: Dinner was served around 4 hours before landing.
Chinese-styled chicken noodle with choi sum. Not bad. Include fruit and red bean mousse cake as dessert. Another meal choice is beef stew with mash potato and vegetables
Sorry I did not take any pics when landing at BNE coz it was already late night…

Wow, CX is really popular lately. Lots of reports on Cathay in every class!
Sorry if the amount of pictures in this report is not abundant coz I did not think of writing a report when I took the flight. - You have good instincts of a flight-reporter because it looks like a pretty complete report to me. You have planespotting pics (which I always appreciate), airport pics (HKG is so beautiful!), cabin shots, meal shots, and wing shots! Everything's there :-)
3600HKD to Australia is a really good price! I was recently looking at flights from HKG to SYD for December and had a hard time finding anything below 7000HKD on CX.
