This was one of the flights I had for my trip to Norway, Sweden and Finland for the northern lights in the Chinese New Year holiday 2016.
SAS starts its service to Hong Kong again in September 2015. I was on one of their new A330-300s for the long haul flights (HKG/ARN/HKG).
There were five sectors:
1. 06/02/2016 SK964 HKG-ARN
2. 06/02/2016 SK495 ARN-OSL
3. 07/02/2016 SK4414 OSL-TOS
4. 14/02/2016 SK001 LLA-ARN
5. 14/02/2016 SK963 ARN-HKG
SK964 Hong Kong (HKG) -> Stockholm Arlanda (ARN)

Long queue to take off at HKG…

Finally my turn!

Castle Peak Power Station and Tuen Mun new town

Tsuen Wan

Shatin

Crossing Ma On Shan, cruising over the Tolo Channel
The Plover Cove Reservoir, we are coming!

Say bye to Shatin, the Kowloon Peninsula and the north coast of Hong Kong Island

The border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, the sign is the Shenzhen River

Entered the China airspace, in Shenzhen now!

One free drink!

Lunch, loaded in HKG

Flying over the Hubei province, seeing the meandering Chang Jiang and the lakes nearby!

Continue to head north, going through the Inner Mongolia Plateau

Snacks served in the middle of the flight

Another lunch served before landing in ARN, loaded in HKG

Quite cloudy in Stockholm

Landing in ARN

Long way to T5!

Beautiful views of HK, which is so often too cloudy.
The meals are nothing to rave about, but the seat layout (2-4-2 according to seatguru : correct ?) and the IFE screens seem better than on other airlines.
Thanks for sharing !
Thank you for sharing this FR with us! I'm glad you went on a trip to my country of birth.
Stunning aerial shots of HK and its surroundings!
The new cabin looks good, I would love to try SK on one of their long-haul flights from ARN.
The load seemed to be healthy from your pictures.
Thank you once again for sharing!
Have a good one, see you!
SK's new interior looks great! The catering seems OK a bit lacking in colour, the second one a bit on the spartan side.
Awesome aerial views BTW, thanks for sharing!
