Review of Etihad Airways flight from Munich to Abu Dhabi in Economy

Since it was more than a year ago since my last flight, I was looking for something special.
As a huge Formula 1 fan, what could have been better than visiting the last Formula 1 race in Abu Dhabi where the F1 Title 2016 was on the line.
So welcome and lets start with the 1st part.

Well, lets start with the aircraft for the scheduled flight from MUC to AUH.

LH was on strike during that week, so they had time to check their aircrafts - pretend to work, right?
Luckily I chose EY over LH

Seat pitch - which was very very good!
Overall the seat was very comfortable.

When we reached cruising altitude the cabin crew personal begun with dinner service

I took "Lamb mansaf" which was very good - first time lamb by my own choice

The flight was very unspectacular.
There were some bumps over Turkey and entering Iran, but overall very very smooth and nothing to mention.
I killed the time with reading and listening to music.
About 1.5h before landing a light snack was served - a muffin.
Look, someone woke up and tried to steal my muffin :p

After the snack, we started to descend for landing @ AUH
And there it is. Yas Marina Circuit - the main reason for the trip.

We landed a few minutes before scheduled arrival and taxied to a remote stand.
The best traffic on earth - airplanes wherever you look

It took some time to get out of the A330. So I watched the sun to rise up.

Finally after 2h of racing - Nico Rosberg was World Champion
Everything went perfect!

And it continued like that.
For the return flight an Airbus A340-600 was scheduled and I got one. More on that in the 2nd part.
That was going to be my first ever A340-600 flight. I was on an A340-500 a few years back, when I flew with Emirates via DXB to SEZ (Seychelles International Airport).
