Bonjour everyone! This trip marks the beginning of the end of my Parisian adventure. My four weeks at the school was amazing and I got to see so much. Bonus note: I visited Disneyland Paris which was amazing. It had been more than a decade since I visited a Disneyland.

Arrival at Charles de Gaulle via RER B. The Paris Navigo pass has been really useful for travelling but they could really improve on the flexibility.

Looking for the check-in desk. I was thoroughly surprised when I saw the queue. Even though we arrived almost 3 hours in advance, we had to queue for about an hour and a half just to check in. Not sure if the whole process was slow or the passengers ahead of us were holding everyone back.

A last shot before going airside.

Interesting escalators in Terminal 1.

Shot of the boarding pass.

It's a long way to the gate from the immigration. Incidentally, even though the queue for the immigration was long, only 3 counters were open.

Finally we arrived at the gate where we learnt that the flight has been delayed for an hour.

Finally, boarding commences and it's a free for all.

Taking my seat in the new cabin of Turkish.

Looking down the cabin from my seat.

The new IFE screen is stunning. Really clear and responsive to the touch. You don't even have to use the remote anymore.

A revolutionary flight time of 0hr 0min.

Flight map to Istanbul.

Boarding continues as the last few passengers enter the plane. When I heard the door close, I celebrated as I had an empty seat next to me for this flight.

Looking at the IFE, it's exactly the same as my flight from Singapore but in a newer packaging. That's the movie I'm about to watch too, The Magnificent Seven.

Seat-back literature.

And starting on my movie.

Empty seat!

Safety video feat. Zach King.

Lights are turned down for take-off.

Drink service begins.

I make a quick trip to the toilet to freshen up.

Dinner service begins.

No choice of meal. Just pasta, salad and coffee mousse.

Approaching Istanbul.

Final drink service. I picked a glass of ice water.

Preparing to land.

A shot of Istanbul. People are sitting everywhere as light snow covers the airport, delaying or cancelling many flights.

Thanks for sharing this report! It looks like you had a good flight with TK. I'd love to fly them sometime as I've seen lots of reports about them and I've heard good things from a few friends that have flown them. Their Economy Class product looks like it's one of the best in the sky.
Best,
Matthew
Hello! Thanks for reading my report. It's definitely worth a flight with them. The overall experience was very pleasant.
Hi and thank you for sharing this FR on your return.
CDG T1 is an icon from another era and the escalators are an attraction for some.
Another good flight with TK, although the cost cutting is starting to show with the lack of printed menus and lokum. Also, the salad for appetizer is disappointing. TK used to have some sort of beans before. However, the main dish and dessert look good and the whole ensemble is so much better than what is offered by competitors in Y.
Nice to have an empty neighboring seat. It's something rare these days.
Thanks for reading one of my reports! I found the escalator quite bouncy and fun to play with. I was pretty sad when I didn't receive any lokum.
Hi ! thanks for sharing this report.
Bonjour ! Not a bad flight tnaks to a wide body and seats with a good legroom and IFE.
The meal, though not bad, is disappointing for Turkish Airlines as this has been one of their major strength.
As far as Charles de Gaulle departing from Terminal one ( the oldest) which is cramped is not the best experience you can get. it's much better in Terminal 2 altough immigration is understaffed in both terminal resulting to long lines.
Hope you enjoyed your stay in paris !
Thanks for reading one of my reports! I love Paris, it's an amazing city to be in. The meal wasn't bad, I've had worse but it could use a little more 'creativity'.
