I have found pictures of a flight I did on airliner buried deep in my iPhone. I went to Lyon to check on my partner who had surgery at the La Croix Rousse hospital.
After I spent the day with him at the hospital I headed back to Lyon Saint Exupéry to catch my flight to Orly. I chose that flight because I wanted to spend a day with friends before heading to Los Angeles and Paris.
I had checked-in online the night before, no baggage and I went to the gate directly !
A few persons are awaiting for the flight, the crew hasn't arrived yet.
Nothing much to spot, particularly in the regional terminal.
We board on time, it is getting late and the weather is not really clement.
The ground staff is loading the baggage and freight on the ATR.
I am used to board ATR that are white, red and orange with a background of blue skies but what can you do…
It will the be F-GVZN which will bring me to Paris tonight. And where did this plane fly before joining the Airlinair fleet ? In Tahiti for Air Tahiti with the registration F-OHJU and it was called Vetearai !
We are greeted at the door by a young man, elegant and smiling, he directs me to my seat 15F.

Everyone is on board, we are ready to go !
Our airplane is taxiing, we are on the runway and off we go to Orly !
After take off, the 2 cabin attendants start the service, nothing much but it is OK for a 1 hour flight really.

The flight has gone by without a glitch, I read a few magazines on my tablet and I listen to the passengers in the row in front of me, they are going to Saint Denis de la Reunion tonight, I am thinking about the long flight that awaits them on board that COI 777-300ER.
Not too many pictures of the descent as the quality wasn't there, not easy to get pictures on your iPhone.
We arrive with a few minutes to spare, we park and we wait for the bus to pick us up.

Beaucoup d'escales qui me sont connues dans ce programme. Vous devriez avoir le temps d'explorer à fond TPE-airside.. à moins que vous ne préfériez prendre un peu de repos dans le salon de CI qui n'est malheureusement pas spotter friendly. Bon voyage !

Oui, j'attends avec impatience, les billets sont là, les hotels réservés et payés ! Départ le 9 novembre sur le vol AF077.
Je vais commander une batterie supplémentaire pour mon APN car faire un PPT-LAX-CAN-BKK dans la foulée ca va être un peu dur pour mon appareil.

Une question : Comment faites vous pour choisir un tel routing ??? Lorsque je recherche sur des sites de comparateurs de vols, je dois systématiquement changer les dates départ et arrivée jours par jour et les différents routings pour vérifier les meilleurs prix. Imaginez 5 routings différents sur chaque jour de la semaine (aller comme retour) et on a déja un bon nombre de recherches (245 si je ne m'abuse !!).
Existe t il des sites sur lesquels vous pouvez comparer les prix sur un tableau (comme le font certaines compagnies comme la south african ou même air france d'une manière différente) en fonction des jours de départ et de retour sur une semaine de flexibilité ??

@flight_lyon : Notre routing est décomposé en plusieurs billets en fait. les PPT-LAX-PPT ont été achetés comme un aller-retour, ensuite les LAX-BKK-LAX avec CZ et CI sont des billets primes, valeur 160.000 miles, en j'en ai encore pour faire au moins une fois le même voyage. Les vols domestiques ont été achetés séparément aussi. Pour le vol TG en 380 et le vol KQ retour de HKG, j'ai acheté les 2 billets séparément aussi.

@manureva744 : Merci, sur matrix.itasoftware, j'ai enfin un site sur lequel je peux comparer en 1 clin d'oeil ! Il reste alors juste à acheter son billet sur un autre site.
@flight-lyon : oui c'est exactement ça, itasoftware va te montrer ce qui est disponible partout et en général lorsque tu vas sur le site de la compagnie, c'est encore moins cher car elle te fait une autre réduction car tu as réservé directement avec elle.
J'aime bien kayak aussi car je mets des alertes tarifaires sur les parcours qui m'intéressent et je reçois les mails quand les prix montent ou descendent.
