Hello friends! Welcome to my report.
Firstly, as usual, please apologize for my bad English, and also bad photo quality as I took all shots by my cellphone.
This story is continuing my previous report from Jakarta to KL by AirAsia here.
I only spent around 10 hours in KL, so here are some photos of it.
Petronas Twin Towers & Suria KLCC.

Bukit Bintang, connected to KLCC by pedestrian bridge.

KL's newest public transport system: MRT. I took it from Bukit Bintang to KL Sentral, before taking the express bus to the airport.

The express bus, bringing me to KLIA Airport.

KLIA's bus terminal.

From the airport's bus terminal, I walked to the departure area.
Whose car is this?

Check-in counters.

From the check-in counter, I proceed directly to the immigration counter

To reach our boarding gate located in the satellite terminal, we had to take the aerotrain.

Reaching the satellite terminal.

There were still 1 hour and 20 minutes before boarding. I decided to see some sights outside the window.
A 787 of Saudia.

Malaysia Airlines' airbus duo.

Then I watched the KLM plane arrived after a long journey from Amsterdam.

The boarding time was so close. I proceed to the boarding gate. Here we faced a strict security check. Even shoes or sandals had to be put off.

The KLM plane ready to continue its journey to Jakarta. Its registration code was PH-BVR and titled "Gunung Mulu National Park", a nature park located in Sarawak, Malaysian part of Borneo Island. The plane was delivered in mid-2016.

Then I saw the Eva Air pushed back before flying to Taipei. What a great moment.

The boarding started at 3.50 p.m.

Entering the plane, we were greeted by senior cabin crews. As usual, firstly we entered the business class area. I wondered when I will be allowed to sit here.

Economy Class.

Power plugs were available at the bottom side of the seats.

While waiting for boarding process completed, the IFE could be explored. It had great collections of movies, TV serials, and musics from all over the world. You can also connect your own flash drive to the IFE throught the USB slot. You can even do in-flight shopping here.

Boarding completed. All passengers had embarked the plane. Beside me was an European guy (I didn't know where he came from). Majority of the passengers were Indonesian and European. There were also Malaysian passengers. Close to me was a family (a couple and their 3 children) speaking Spanish, but I'm not sure whether they came from Spain or Latin America. There was also an Australian family with connecting flight by Garuda Indonesia to Sydney.
Then the IFE started to show the safety instructions video.

Unfortunately, as my seat was located on the aisle side, I could not see the sights outside the window before take-off.
The plane started to fly smoothly at 4.20 p.m (UTC+8). The weather looked bright and nice.
After the seat belt sign turned off, I checked the toilet.

Back to my seat. Cabin crews started to distribute the headphone. Don't expect the high audio quality of it.

As usual, I did not forget to check the stuffs inside the seat pocket.

Then the cabin crews started to distribute our meals and drinks. Nothing special, only a "Pie Vege Risoles" (as an ex-Dutch territory, we Indonesians have been familiar with "risoles") and a cup of drink.

After enjoying the meal and drink, I continued exploring the IFE.

There was still an hour before landing. I chose to read the books and magazines available on board while listening to musics from the IFE.
Finally the plane landed safely and smoothly in Jakarta's international airport at 5.25 p.m. (UTC+7).
Time to leave the plane.

Entering the terminal building through an aerobridge.

Final shot of the plane. What a bad pic.

Close to it were 2 famous Gulf carriers: Emirates and Qatar Airways.

I proceed directly to the immigration counter and baggage belt.

From the baggage belt, I went to the airport's bus shelter to hop an express bus to Gambir Station.

Thank for KLM Fifth Freedom Flights to CGK.
KUL-CGK route has many lcc flight, but Especially KLM flight looks interesting because KLM is European airline. I want try it someday!!
Thanks for your comment. If you are lucky, you can fly with KLM on this route with cheaper price than LCCs, especially if you reserve the seat more than 21 days before the journey. It's also perhaps the cheapest option to fly with wide-body jet (especially Boeing 777-300ER) from Jakarta.
Hi, Anaknegeri
I understand your English perfectly!
Not mine, for sure! It looks more expensive than my house!
Isn’t flight-radar.com a wonderful thing? Knowing where and when your plane is coming is priceless.
I wonder how MH is doing after flights 370 and 17. :(
I’m very glad to hear that! An example for other airlines. I have read that Aeroflot, for example, is being sued after the airline discriminated their own staff for their physical appearance, saying “Aeroflot is a premium airline and part of the reason people pay for tickets is the appearance of its employees”. I think it’s shameful.
Er, most probably… when you pay for that. XDDDD
That’s easy. If you hear them saying the sound TH, as in THink or THanks, they’re from Spain. We don’t have that sound in Latin America.
Never heard of them before. You gave me an idea for tomorrow’s lunch! I like cooking new things.
I can’t decide if I prefer old, thicker seats, or the new ones so popular in the LCC era. Those in your photo look quite hard for a long haul flight. Weren’t they?
Thank you very much for this report. It was very informative and interesting. KLM has a 5th freedom flight between Santiago and Buenos Aires at a great price. I’m eager to try it!
Hi, nechus.
"Isn’t flight-radar.com a wonderful thing? Knowing where and when your plane is coming is priceless."
My favorite site is Flightradar24.com, and spotting planes' locations has been my hobby during spare times. But its not 100% accurate.
"I wonder how MH is doing after flights 370 and 17"
Well, even before those 2 incidents, MH had been struggling in their financial loss. In 2004 they served routes to Africa and Americas, including Buenos Aires (stopover at Johannesburg), and also flights to around 10 cities in China. It also flew to more than 5 cities in Indonesia. But some years after that they started cutting these routes, especially after the birth of LCCs. Two horrible incidents in 2014 made things worse for them. Recently I heard some news about a plan to sell their A380s.
But in terms of service, they do it well. You can read my experience with MH on Feb 2017 here: https://flight-report.com/en/report/23212/Malaysia-Airlines-MH710-Jakarta-CGK-Kuala-Lumpur-KUL
"we were greeted by senior cabin crews --> I’m very glad to hear that!"
As far as I know, European carriers mainly employ senior cabin crews, especially for the long-haul flights. Asian carriers, perhaps due to different population pyramid, prioritize young and good-looking cabin crews, of course with their best service quality.
"That’s easy. If you hear them saying the sound TH, as in THink or THanks, they’re from Spain. We don’t have that sound in Latin America."
With my "blank" knowledge about Spanish, I still can't difference them. I just can identify them through their passports.
"Pie Vege Risoles --> Never heard of them before."
"Risoles" is originated in France, but very popular in Netherlands. Then they brought this food to Indonesia when it was a Dutch colony during 16-19th century.
"I can’t decide if I prefer old, thicker seats, or the new ones so popular in the LCC era. Those in your photo look quite hard for a long haul flight. Weren’t they?"
You're right, I think it's not comfortable enough for long-haul flights. But on this short route, I don't have any problem about the seat.
"KLM has a 5th freedom flight between Santiago and Buenos Aires at a great price."
Yes, and I hope that these 5th freedom routes will still exist in the future. South Americans, like you, don't need to go across the oceans only to try European carrier and wide-body jets.
Thanks for your comment.
