Introduction
This trip report continues : Air India VT-ANK AI308 DEL-MEL
After arriving in Melbourne early in the morning. On exiting the international section, headed back up to the Qantas domestic terminal.
Originally the group was booked for a 10 am flight to Sydney. On arriving at the counter, the staff booked everyone on the earlier flight.
Check-In
Baggage check-in was done through the self check machine, got the boarding passes. Went for security. Not a long queue, it was quick process. On arriving at the gate, boarding was being called.

Got the boarding pass checked and off to plane. The flight was full. I had the bulkhead seat.

The cockpit door was closed for departure. Pushback was soon after.

Orange juice and passion-fruit biscuit was provided after take off.

Being a short flight, took rest. Captian came onboard to inform the descend. Being a new generation aircraft, handle-held device could be used. Landed in Sydney from the North. Sunny day outside.

Upon reaching the gate at the Qantas Terminal. Business class passengers disembarked first. followed by economy class.

Headed for baggage collection.

Baggage was out soon as not many passengers had check-in bags. Headed for the domestic railway station to catch train to International terminal as I had parked there. By this time, I had enough of flying and wanted to sleep.
Caught the train, paid the parking charges and drove home.

Conclusion

Melbourne Airport looks old and in needs of refurbishment.
Qantas flight was short flight, with everything on time. Crew was typical as associated with Qantas.
Cabin was clean, snack was small when compared with other airlines for the distance travelled.
Sydney was quick as its was domestic flight. Overall the flight was satisfactory.
