Flight Ticket
Pre Flight @ DOH
After the first flight I had about 2 hours until boarding for the flight to Denpasar started.
The atmosphere in DOH is quite cool.
All the security checks did not took a lot of time.
Of course - when you are at DOH, you have to visit the huge yellow Teddy Bear.
The Terminal was not very crowded.
There are a lot of Apple stations in DOH where you can use free internet.
To kill the time I changed my last few South African Rands from my trip to South Africa and bought a Muffin at one of the stores.
After the Muffin I went to the D Gates, where my B777-300ER was prepared for the flight to DPS.
Flight QR962
Boarding started 15min late. The aircraft was about 4 years old and the Economy Class looked very nice. My seat was 43C.
Legroom was good and the seat felt comfortable.
It took about 30min to get from the gate to the runway.
The run for departure was quite long.
While we were above the Persian Gulf, we had to flew a lot of corners, because of all the restrictions against QR.
About 1 hour after departure the meal service started.
Here is the menu card for QR962.
It started with the Main Meal - I have chosen the beef.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the tray.
When I finished the meal, I watched the next Fast & Furious movies and red a little bit.
All the windows were closed, so the passengers were able to sleep - if they wanted.
The flight was very calm until we reached India and the Bay of Bengal.
It was very bumpy for about 3 to 4 hours - sometimes quite heavy bumps.
Once again I passed the Nicobar Islands as we made our way into the Strait of Malacca.
As we passed Singapore the sky cleared a little bit and the bumps were gone.
The breakfast service started after it was delayed because of turbulences.
I don't know why they started with the main meal first and finished with the breakfast.
It was around 2/3pm Indonesian time at the moment of the breakfast service.
The cream cheese omelette for me.
The last part of the flight was calm and offered some great views.
Cabin before landing.
Inflight magzaines.
Pictures from approach to DPS.
While we taxied to the gate, a Thai B747-400 departured DPS.
Last but not least a picture from the cabin during disembarkment.
After Flight @ DPS
My B777-300ER at the gate in DPS.
The airport in DPS is also very clean and looks great.
But immigration took quite some time, about 60min to get through the whole queue.
