I arrived at SFO by BART, after photographing aircrafts from the park near the airport. DL is located in terminal 1, so I got on AirTrain from BART station.
The Delta check-in counter was next to the Southwest Airlines. I printed out my boarding pass by a Kiosk. Then, I got a very thin boarding pass.
I went to Gate, which was indicated on my boarding pass. However, It was empty, I realized my gate was changed to another place. Gate42 is my Gate.
An agent made an announcement to us about the delay of the boarding time, due to the late arrival of the previous flight.
Engines were mounted directly on the fuselage.
At 3:50, Boarding was started from Gropu1. I was Group3, taking 5minutes to get into aircraft.
We were boarding
My seat was 26A, where I could see engine just behind me. It was an amazing view, However, a lot of Window scratches prevented taking good pictures.
There was no IFE and little legroom was narrow.
An outlet and a wifi were available, so I could charge my camera, which run out its battery during a spotting.
The engines started, then I could felt a vibration and big sound of the engine. It was not completely comfortable seat, however, It made me exciting.
SFO is the busiest airport, We waited to take off more than20 minutes. We were a No.6 departure, after United E170.
At 16:40, We took off and climbed steeply.
Eventually, Downtown was visible.
Cabin crew started the drink service.I had Orange Juice, accompanied with a grain Snack.
Most part of this flight, I killed time by reading an On-board Magazin, containing many interesting ADs. Precious cargo…
Most of the aircrafts have a galley at the end of the cabin. However, B717 and MDs have an exit door. At an emergency situation, Tail corn will drop out, and passengers will evacuate from here.
The cabin consisted in the 2-3 layout.
We started a descent for Seattle. I could not see outside during a descending, due to the low cloud.
On the final approach, We passed over Boeing Field(KBFI), where a lot of brand-new B737s were parked. Next day, I went to this airport to visit "The museum of flight".
At 18:25 pm, We landed in Sea-Tac Airport.
We arrived at the Gate. You can see another B717.
I love visiting the cockpit, so I waited for all passenger disembarking and asked a cabin crew to show me a cockpit. Cockpit design was modern. But some part of the cockpit was still remaining classic.
It was a great souvenir of this flight.

Conclusion
This is my first flight of a body-mounted engine aircraft. I noticed some disadvantages of this type, for example, Engine noise, Engine vibration. However, All of them reminded me of a past era of MDs. Cabin crews were friendly. There were no-IFE, but a video streaming via wi-fi was available.
