Review of Singapore Airlines flight Surabaya → Singapore in Economy

Hello everybody! My name is Kevin from Indonesia. Today, I want to share my flight on Singapore Airlines. In 2016, SIA had a travel fair, my mom and I got extremely cheap ticket price to Hongkong, for only IDR 2.5 million (SGD 250) for return trip from Surabaya. We purchased it directly, since it was great offer. We chose the Chinese New Year season to visit Hongkong & Macao. SInce it was our first time to Macao, we were quite excited!
PS: This is also my first time with Singapore Airlines, so I felt so excited to try an airline which is well known for its service.
The day
We arrived at Juanda International Airport (SUB/WARR) around 8.15 AM, and there aren't much flight departing from international terminal. After checked our luggages, we passed immigration within 5 minutes. When I arrived at waiting area, I saw Cathay Pacific A340 (B-HXH) were doing take off roll as CX 780 to Hongkong. I feel bit dissapointed because I couldn't catch the moment (and I realized that was my last meeting with CX's A343 because they were retired not long after this trip) :(
The other aircraft which was doing final call were this Indonesia AirAsia, PK-AXI

5 minutes later, it was ready for its flight to Kuala Lumpur as XT8297. Look at the behind, Garuda's B738 (PK-GFI) was taxiing to the terminal as GA306 from our capital city, Jakarta

30 minutes passed, this baby Airbus registered 9V-TRA arrived from Singapore as TR 2260


When the ground crews loaded off Tiger's cargo, I could see the "Golden Goose" landing, and here is she

9V-STW would fly me to Singapore that day

Not long after, boarding call started, and all Y class passengers started to queue. Settled in my seat, I tried to take a look what's inside the seat pocket

After 15 minutes, door were closed and the crews started to distribute the hot towels. Safety video also presented at that time. Take off smoothly at 10.15 AM, and I tried to explore the IFE
The headset

IFE's content were pretty complete with many selections of films and music. The IFE Screen itself were very responsive

It's the time for lunch. I already booked SFML (Seafood Meal), and my mom chose fish option

Here are the cabin condition, the load factor were around 70%. Many passengers were seated at forward section

At rear cabin, the passengers weren't as many as the forward cabin

Look at the sky

I enjoyed myself hearing One Direction's album, and suddenly the captain informed that we were ready to descending. When the plane started descending, I could see Batam Island, Bintan Island, and also Singapore skyscrapers below.

The plane landed at 1.30 PM. Since the plane would fly to Seoul as SQ 602, it were parked at Terminal 3. I disembarked last, because I want to take some photos with the crews. We arrived at the end of course A, so we need to take skytrain to reach main section of Terminal 3.
