Greetings to everyone
I have already uploaded a trip report in the same route however this time I was upgraded to BC so I thought I would be good to compare services on the same route in both classes.
Check in was usually quick as well as immigration so very quick I was on my way to Avianca`s Lounge not without doing some spotting, Bogotà is a fantastic airport to take pictures.
A WAMOS Air aircraft Wet Leased to LATAM
The Lounge, from upstairs I spotted an AR A330 bound to Buenos Aires, I hope I could fly on AR one day.
It was soon time to board. I had originally seat 7A but when boarding was Upgraded to 3K which meant no window for me, therefore I did not take as much pictures as I would have wanted.
Boarding the plane was smooth and sparkling wine with warm nuts were delivered by the Colombian Crew flying the N724AV Airbus 320
After a very turbulent take off, hot towels were given and two options for lunch: turkey or meat, I had the second.
This is the chart on how trolleys and trays should be set on BC
No dessert for me, but yes some coffee and Cointreau,
After lunch and as looking through the window was not an option I went to the aft galley to say hello to a flight attendant friend, they were settling the galley for the flight back to Bogota
I got some outside pictures when my seat mate got up
We soon started our descend to SAL and after a great landing it was time to work
Thanks a lot for reading and if you have got any questions just let me know
Hola, Jacrew76!
Excelente informe!
XD
La triste vida de la clase obrera. No tenemos remedio. :(

Hi Jacrew76, thanks for sharing this new report on Avianca! Seems like a very good overall experience for a 3 hour flight. The seats look comfortable with actual padding! Most seats these days, even in the premium cabin are so thin and hard. Always good to have IFE on a short flight too! Does Avianca upgrade Frequent Flyer Elites on regional routes when space is available like U.S. carriers do? AV always seems to have great Business fares from the U.S. to South America, often on widebodies, but I'm always so hesitant to book outside of oneworld and lose out on miles, lol. Plus switching to Star Alliance would mean flying United on domestic U.S. flights and the thought of doing that horrifies me ^^
But I feel like I'll have to give AV a try soon!
Thanks for sharing!
Hello Kevin,
Thanks for your comment.
Does Avianca upgrade Frequent Flyer Elites on regional routes when space is available like U.S. carriers do?
It works for me all the time, specially on the routes I fly on which are not premium routes
I am a star alliance guy so I avoid flying OW.
I believe you should give Avianca a try, I am sure you will have a great experience, so let me know what do you decide
