Arrival at Airport
I was supposed to return in January 2011, decided to preponed the flight to return early. Was charged a fee to change flight of about SG$ 150.
Arrived early at the Airport by taxi to Terminal 1.
Check-In
Check-in counter was Row 5 for the flight which was open, checked my bag for the flight, collected the boarding card and headed for the viewing area as there was enough time to spare.

Conclusion

Flew with Qantas as I had got a return ticket. Flight was satisfactory as it was on time, didn't have much interaction with the crew but they were more customer-focused. Singapore was quick with immigration and security check. Changi has many option for passengers while they wait to travel from the hub. Sydney being the final destination was a quick exit out of the airport.

  • Reminds of the good days when the 747 was around. Unfortunately for me I've flown the Queen twice, once on a fifth freedom out of NRT on DL on a 744, and a few weeks ago on CA's 748i!

    • 747's are getting rare now with most phasing it. You are lucky to fly the 748i. I have travelled on B747-200, 300 and 400 series numerous times since 80's. Depressurization used to hurt a lot in the ears on the 200 and 300 series.
