The daily Turkish flight has a remarkable pax load of more than 90% all year round. This is mainly due to the popularity of Turkish tourism in recent years. This route initially started out using an A340 and is now using B777-300ER. The average flight time is blocked around 10:30 - 11:00 HRS.
First time here at IST and wished that I will never need to visit this airport ever again. Hands down terrible. Look forward to the Istanbul New Airport (Istanbul Yeni Havalimani) opening in Oct 2018 hence replacing Ataturk.
Boarding Gate was 302 for our flight to Taipei and the aircraft was parked at remote bay so the boarding process took very long.
A340 was spotted during our taxi to 35R RWY for takeoff. Since China Airlines and Cathay Pacific retired their A343, it is very difficult to spot one now in Taipei.
Taxiing to RWY 35R, it is cool how IST uses just a 2580m runway to land all aircrafts!
First meal was served shortly after departure, choices consist of Turkish chicken breast or Cheese Pasta. I opted for the latter.

Wonderful experience. I think some carriers within your region perform just as well at these guys too.
