On November 15th 2017, I decided to have a short escape to Romania, I booked my flight with TAROM as it is the only Airline that operates direct between Beirut and Bucharest. I started my journey at the cedar lounge, that gives access to all Sky team Members which TAROM is part of. At that time, the lounge was not fully renovated, only part of it, that is why sadly we couldn't have the view of the airport and gates.
After chilling for 1 hour and 30min, we boarded the Well Maintained B737-700, We were offered a welcome drink before pushback, and shortly after takeoff, The nice FAs served us with nuts and another drink " I picked wine". after reached the cruising altitude, we had to choose between the two options " chicken or omelets", I chose chicken with rice. The meal was fresh, hot and rich ! it come along with cake and some cheese butter and a Romanian salad served with a can of coke. After finishing the delicious meal TAROM served us with hot towels, and they always passing by asking if we need something with a warm smile. Just before 20 min from landing we were offered tea/coffee service.
The landing was very smooth on this windy morning at Bucharest, but I am not surprised because TAROM pilots are well trained and known worldwide. We de-boarded first, the airport was empty as we were the first arriving flight at 6:15am.
