Introduction
This 2014 trip report covers the return trip from Melbourne. It was a early morning flight. Completed the check-in online, printed boarding pass before heading to airport.
Arriving at the Airport
Boarded the SkyBus from Melbourne Southern Cross Station. Being early morning, there was no traffic on the road. Reached in 30 - 35 mins
Check-in and Security
Arrived at the Low Cost terminal. This terminal was basic with check-in counter and toilets. With no check-in bags, went to security. and then to waiting area.
Waiting area had a coffee and a book shop. With nothing else to do waited for boarding call. Within few minutes of waiting, boarding for the flight was called.

At the gate, boarding pass was checked. After a short bus ride, boarding was via stairs.

Being a Low Cost Carrier [LCC] , seat is charged. As I didn't make seat selection, was allocated middle seat.

Departed from runway 27 towards the West then turned North - East to Sydney.

On board Service
On board service commenced after attaining cruising altitude. Being a LCC, service is Buy on Board [BOB]. I had my breakfast before starting. skipped the BOB service.

Flight being time being under an hour. Soon it was time for landing. Stowed the magazine, safety card in the seat pocket.

Landed smoothly on runway 34L.

Disembarkation was through the stairs. Aircraft was parked in remote gate. Passengers were bused to the terminal.
Exiting the Terminal
Headed for the exit. With no bags to collect, walked out and boarded train for Central station.
