Akasa Air QP1528 Mumbai to Ahmedabad
I stayed overnight in Ahmedabad. I would be flying to Hyderabad with a 3hr 25mins transit in Delhi.
Booking
I had booked this flight through the Air India website.
During the booking process, I selected the additional services to select seat.
I had selected the free seat for this flight. Being a domestic flight, the last row seat was available to passengers.
Confirmed seat selection.
Reviewed the booking before continuing with the payment.
I paid with Credit Card and had the itinerary emailed.
Check-in
Online check-in was available for this flight, I logged in the website using the Booking references number.
Clicked the start check-in button to continue the process.
Was offered an upgrade which I skipped.
Entered personal details.
Baggage information
I checked the seat selection
Not many free seats were available, decided to stick with the selection.
Flight and transit information
Got the digital boarding pass .
Emailed a copy to personal address.
Hotel
I woke early and went for breakfast in the hotel.
Breakfast - Idli with coconut and tomato chutney.
Travel to Airport
After breakfast returned to room, got organised and booked Ola taxi. I returned the key and taxi was outside the gate. I left hotel at 8.45a.m
Airport was 45mins from hotel.
Terminal 2
On the way, I chatted with driver and told him that I would be flying out from Terminal 2.
Driver said that it should be terminal 1 as I had forgotten the terminal, I said drop me at Terminal 2.
Driver told me in case its terminal 1, its not far I can go walking.
I reached Terminal 2 and got my bags, paid the driver and walked towards departure entry.

When I reached the Departure security check, CISF guard told me that I should go to Terminal 1. That's where I realised I was at the wrong terminal.
I then followed the signs towards Terminal 1.
Terminal 2 is used for international flights.
Walked for 5 mins.

Crossed the road and Terminal 1 was visible.

I reached the arrival section.
Checked the arrival schedule.
Continued walking towards the departure entry gate which is few meters to the left.

Check-in
I showed booking and passport and was allowed in the check-in area.
Check-in counter was empty as I was early.
Went to the counter, dropped the check-in bag.
I received the boarding pass
I then went for security check.
Security check
Walking towards security check. Security check wasn't busy and was done in 5mins.

Entered the departure area and checked the departure schedule
I had plenty of time and explored the terminal. AI424 was departing from bus gate 6A.
I was in the waiting area - 1 hour before boarding.

I took escalator to the upper floor.

Busy terminal, after some exploring, it was close to boarding time.

Crew boarding commenced.
Passenger gathered around gate waiting for boarding call.
Boarding was called by rows, and I joined the boarding queue. Line moved quickly. Boarding pass was scanned

Aircraft had arrived from London and was parked at Terminal 2.

Bus window was not clean.
Bus parked near the aircraft. Crew had boarded few minutes before and cleaning was in progress. Bus door was closed till clearance was received.

Seat pocket contained earphones, safety card and inflight magazine. I had covered the seat content in earlier report - Air India AI311 Melbourne to Mumbai
Welcome screen, I didn't check if the entertainment was working. There was no Wi-Fi on this aircraft.
Boarding continued for sometime.
It was hot outside and the glass was tinted.

Boarding was complete. Flight was full.
Safety demonstration, pushback and taxi
Pilot welcomed passengers, followed by Cabin crew announcement, Doors were armed. Crew demonstrated safety instructions.
Aircraft was pushed back after the safety demonstration.
Window tint was adjustable. I cleared the tint to view outside. Aircraft pushback was completed.

After a short hold, Pilot informed crew to be seated for takeoff. Engine roared and aircraft accelerated on the runway.

Cabin was clean
Last row is a 2 seater on the port and starboard side, usually reserved for crew on long flights.
Cabin service
Cabin announcement was made that meal would be served shortly.
Crew disturbed special meal individually followed by trolley service for other passengers. Meal was served 15mins after departure. Choice was veg or non-veg.
I chose non-veg and received chicken with potatos, bread, yogurt, bread and cake with water. Wet wipes provided along with the meal.
My neighbour did not have meal as he had got own coffee cup, he took water bottle from crew. I had food and waited for tray to be collected.

Being a short flight, time passed. Pilot announced aircraft would be descending in 20 mins. Crew conducted a rubbish, my neighbour said he was still having the coffee and didn't hand the rubbish.

Disembarkation
During taxi, my neighbour was on the phone talking about tenders and 1million rupee contracts. He seems well to do but the attitude was of a slum dweller.
On disembarking, he threw the coffee cup on the floor, newspaper and water bottle on the seat and left.
My neighbour ahead while disembarking. I felt like saying to him, did you forget something. But stopped self to engage unnecessarily.
Crew bidding bye to passengers, thanked the crew and continue walking towards the aircraft exit.

I followed other towards the bus and entered from the forward door.

In about 5 mins reached the domestic arrival area.

As I was a domestic transfer, I followed the sign.
Reached the arrivals section
Then took a lift to upper level for security check. The security check took a while as there were a group of passengers who had arrived from state of Kerala, and they were taking a long time to organise their stuff for x-ray scan. Security asked some passengers to go to the other security check, I did too and completed the check in few mins.
