Welcome to my first trip report. Last November I am flying Cathay Pacific CX566 from Hong Kong to Osaka KIX. It was an early morning flight and feeling tired after a long flight from Australia. I began the day in the Cathay Pacific Lounge The Pier at HKG.
The Pier Lounge at Hong Kong Airport.

The dining at The Pier Lounge Hong Kong Airport.

Drinking a beer may not be good for your health, but I'll try it for once.

That's the aircraft that will take me to Kansai, the original aircraft for this flight is the A330-300, but was then upgraded to the A35K. Very excited.

1:50 AM flight and was sleepy when getting onboard the aircraft. Codeshare with JAL and Qatar Airways.

The seats that are found on all Cathay's A350's. As usual, comfortable and it was feeling for a long haul flights.

The IFE for Business Class on A350, big screen and lots of options. But not the best as Emirates does.

Let's look at the Business Class menu. I also got mineral water before take off, but I don't capture the water.

Several hours after Take off, I got prepared for a meal service by the flight attendants.

The Meal dish has not been come out by the time it arrived to my seat

Picked Chicken Rice options for my meal. It was delicious.

In the end, I slept for another hours and I don't get the captured for the landing as well. It was 7 AM when I arrived in Osaka and was still a bit tired after waking up.

That's the end of the trip and thank you very much.
Hi Ketysamways, thanks for sharing your first report here with us!
What a nice surprise to have the flight upgraded from an A330 to a brand new A350-1000! The simplified meal service on these short red-eye flights seems appropriate and the main dish looks tasty.
Welcome to Flight-Report!
Thanks Kevin. My name is Kety anyway.
Hello, Ketysamways, and welcome to flight-report.com. Thanks for sharing this first report with us!
Nice to get moved up from a 333 to a 351. I’ve yet to fly the bigger 350, so I’d be excited too, were I in your shoes.
It’s nice that CX features some interesting-looking Hong Kong beers in The Pier. I’ve not seen the Business Class portion of that lounge before, I don’t think.
The seat looks very good, as expected, and the catering sounds like it meets with your approval, so all’s well.
Thanks again for sharing this, and again - welcome to flight-report.com. Happy flying!
