Hi,
Originally I was booked on the morning nonstop flight from Munich to Porto on that Sunday. However due to heavy snow storms that day my flight at the end got cancelled after waiting 2,5 hours on the plane in queue for deicing. So after disembarkation I was rebooked via Frankfurt the same evening.
I spent a lot of waiting time in the Lufthansa Business Lounge at G gates area. There is a reasonable selection of food & drinks, however the taste of the dishes is just standard.


With a delay of again 30 minutes boarding finally started for the flight to Frankfurt.
I took my seat in the first row of the aircraft on this fully booked flight with ca. 10 rows of Business Class.


Once boarding was completed the captain again announced bad news: waiting on the plane for ca. 2 hours in queue for deicing. Not again!
Cabin crew distributed cups of water until we finally started taxiing two hours later.
After a very long deicing of ca. 20 minutes we finally started our short hop of only 35 minutes to Frankfurt.
Minutes after take off the cabin crew sprang into action rolling out trolleys and offering a cold meal plus warm breads from a basket followed by a drinks trolley.


The Caesar salad tasted very nice but it was always impossible to finish the meal on that short hop.
Pure stress for the cabin crew and passnegers somehow alike.
We descended soon and touched at Frankfurt with a delay of ca. 2,5 hours.
Now it was time for another queue in order to get an overnight airport hotel room.
