Introduction
I was travelling to Mumbai in Feb 2015 for a short visit. This trip report covers the flight from Sydney to Singapore on Boeing 777-200ER.
I had booked SYD-SIN-BOM on SQ and BOM-KUL-SYD on MH as the return on SQ was more expensive. I finished work early to catch the flight which was departing at 19.05.
Check-in online and printed the boarding pass. As I was travelling light took train to airport.
Check-In
I had to drop bag and queued for the bag-drop counter. Queue was short being mid-week and evening flight. At the check-in counter, passport and visa was checked and asked why I was travelling one-way. I told the counter of my itinerary and everything was fine. Got the boarding pass and gate details. Flight departing from gate 58.
Immigration and Security
Immigration wasn't busy at the time of the day and security was quick. Should have been 15-20 mins to complete the formalities.
Delayed flight
I allow enough time before the flight so as not to rush. After passing security, checked the flight schedule. Flight was delayed by 1hr .

I like having some food before boarding and hopped in McD for a bite.

After dinner, I went near the gate area. As the flight was delayed, passengers had gathered close to gate. Singapore Airlines had organised water, orange juice near the gate for passengers.

I didn't mind the delay as it reduced my transit time.

Boarding
Boarding commenced at 7.45 pm. Passport and boarding pass was checked. At the door was welcomed by crew and directed to seat.
Seating in Economy was 3-3-3. The next seat was empty.

Pushback and safety demonstration
Flight was 80 percent full with many Chinese tourist. After boarding was completed, gate were closed and captain made announcement and apologised for the delay. Cold towels were distributed along with menu.

Shortly after dinner service commenced. Choice was Chicken or Beef.

Cabin light were turned off after dinner. It wasn't snooze time yet, checked the entertainment options. Selected comedy.
Watched some episodes of the Big Bang Theory
Snoozed
After watching few shows, snoozed for couple of hours, woke somewhere close to equator. Flying high above the clouds, got a view of natures light show below. Hit few bumps as flight cruised north towards Indonesia

About 2 hrs before landing, refreshment service commenced.

I chose the noodles option for refreshment along with orange juice
Noodles were warm and soft.

As my next flight was departing from Terminal 2. I took the SkyTrain.
Being late night, shops were closing. Went to the information counter for Wifi password. Asked for passport which was scanned and provided a wifi code.
Looked for a resting area to charge my device and snooze for few hours.

SQ never had 3-4-3 configurated 777s before and not currently as well. It's always 9 abreast from such airlines who put customer comfort first, while being able to maintain profit at the same time.
