Ia Orana from Tahiti !

Here is a Flight Report part from a long journey. I am on a Papeete-Billund via Los Angeles and Amsterdam.
I have tons of pictures and here are the ones about the Papeete-Los Angeles AF 673.

The night before I checked-in online and went to check in the next day at Tahiti Faa'a Airport 2 hours before the flight. There weren't much people when I got there. Check-in was separated in different lanes, La Première and Elite Plus, Business, e-service and Voyageur.

After I was done with checking-in my bags and received my boarding card as well as my invitation to the Tahiti Airport lounge where ALL airlines serving Papeete go to, I went through immigration and security.
The lounge was on the upper level just above the boarding area. Here are a few pictures about that part of the airport and the lounge.

Welcome on Board !

The doors are closed, the stairs are pulled away and our Boeing will start its run and its very powerful take-off towards Los Angeles. The aerial views of the polynesian atolls are magnificent ! Who needs IFE with a view like this ?!

It is now time for a drink and the female cabin crew are now wearing beautiful and colorful tahitian dresses. We are offered drinks, a canapé and nibbles as well as a Tiare flower, the French Polynesia national flower.

After the drinks, the meal is following. The starter is a Lamb and vegetable mille-feuille, tomato and mozzarella, grilled mahi-mahi, carrot and cauliflower mousse.

For the main I chose the vegetable lasagna and polenta with a red bellpepper coulis. Cheese is served at the same time. I am enjoying a glass of white wine, from the Languedoc region, Blanc Limoux Terroir de Haute Vallée 2007 Cave Sieur D'Arques.

After the meal I reclined my seat and started to watch a movie and fell asleep. It is the screams of a baby that will pull me out of my sleep every hour. I am still wondering how that baby didn't lose his voice after screaming like this during the whole flight.

1 hour and 45 minutes before our arrival in Los Angeles the cabin crew is serving a snack. Smoked tuna and aubergine caviar canape, black olive tapenade and goat cheese canapé, mini opera cake, fresh fruit, fromage frais. Tea and a glass of Pepsi Max for drinks.
