Hi guys. Welcome to my next report on Flight-Report. But first, please check out my trip report with Vietjet Air from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Long Bay (Van Don) on Airbus A321. This video is more detailed than the script version on Flight-Report and has more special things there, so I hope you guys will check out, like the video and support to my channel by subscribe Vinavia on YouTube :D
Here is the script report.
As usual, my flight started at Domestic Terminal, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City.

Then I went to the domestic check-in area of Vietjet Air at the terminal. In fact Vietjet Air has their own big exclusive departure area at Domestic Terminal.

And here is it, departure hall of Vietjet Air.

Today, I would fly on flight VJ230 to Ha Long Bay, which is a very famous tourist site in Vietnam, and also, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. And the estimated departure time would be 7:00 am

Since I already made online check-in at home so I headed directly to the security check.

After the security check was done, I went upstairs and went to the gate. The gate for this flight was gate 11, which is the bus gate.

Moments later, I got an announcement that the gate had changed, and I went downstairs to the new gate. And the new gate was gate 18, which is also another the bus gate.

After few minutes waiting, boarding was called, and I got on the bus in order to get to the aircraft.

After a short ride from the terminal, finally we arrived the place where the aircraft parked. The registration of this A321 is VN-A698, and it was only 0.8 years old.

My seat on this flight was 9A.

Legroom was fine, fair enough for the amount of time of this flight.

Tray table.

View from my window, and cabin view from my seat.

After boarding was done, the aircraft started taxiing to the runway for take-off.

Take-off.

On the seat pocket, we had: a sickness bag, a sefety card, a Vietjet Air's inflight magazine, and a menu.

Shortly after take-off, buy-on-board services were started.

On this flight, I decided to buy a packet of dried mango, which costed 50.000 đ (around 2 dollars).

After the crews finished buy-on-board services, the plane hit severe turbulence, which made the plane shaking a lot during that time. Fortunately, the turbulence did not last long, and it ended after about 10 minutes.

Some pictures I took from the window during the flight.

After about 1.5 hours in the air, the aircraft was descended and prepared to land. An here we come for the best part of the flight. During descending, you can enjoy marvelous views outside the window. Here is the view of Ha Long City, one of the famous tourist cities in Northern Vietnam.

And this is absolutely the best view. The view of Ha Long Bay from above. Ha Long Bay is the most famous bay and tourist destination in Vietnam.

But sadly, due to the bad weather condition, the view was not as beautiful as in sunny days. But honestly, the bay was still gorgeous and a bit dreamy in this cloudy day.

Landing.

Welcome to Van Don International Airport, most off the most beautiful and the newest airport in Vietnam :D

And from here, I started my journey to Ha Long City and Ha Long Bay.

I always enjoy Vietjet's cabin as they are often pleasant and I'd like their uniforms, however their legroom is absolutely mediocre for a westerner. I can not sit straight for example with them. Thanks for sharing.!
Thank you for comment. Yes, I agree that the legroom on VJ's planes are quite unfriendly for Westerners, but otherwise, their services are pretty decent
I had no idea Ha Long now has its own airport, and I only live a few hours away! As with so many tourist sites in Vietnam, I wonder how (if at all) they plan to balance the influx of tourists with preservation.
VJ aren't a bad budget carrier. I find their fees for the unlimited legroom seats at 12A and 12F very reasonable.
Actually, this airport just opened early this year, so it's the newest airport in Vietnam now. About the influx of tourists with preservation, it's one of the problems that the tourism authorities in Vietnam are trying to solve and do their best. Btw, I hope you will fly with Vietjet really soon :D
