And here is the script report. Hope you guys will enjoy :D

Today's flight would start at Terminal 1, Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi.

Let's get inside the terminal

Today, I would fly on flight QH213 to Ho Chi Minh City, and the estimated departure time would be 1.55 pm.

photo screenshot_20201002_160644

Actually, my flight was rescheduled from 16:30 to 13:55, but I didn't really mind about that :D

Bamboo Airways check-in area

photo screenshot_20201002_160710

Today I would fly Business Class with Bamboo Airways for the very first time. I was super excited about this flight :D

photo screenshot_20201002_160720

Heading to the check-in counter for Business Class passengers right now.

photo screenshot_20201002_160727photo screenshot_20201002_160736

Check-in was done super fast, then I went straight to the security check area.

photo screenshot_20201002_160742

Thanks to the priority lane for Business Class passengers, I quickly got into airside.

photo screenshot_20201002_160753

Now I would go upstairs and head to the exclusive Business Class lounge of Bamboo Airways in Noi Bai Airport.

photo screenshot_20201002_160822photo screenshot_20201002_160834

Here is the lounge of Bamboo Airways named First Lounge by Bamboo Airways.

photo screenshot_20201002_160841

Let's get inside the lounge.

photo img_20200907_123056photo screenshot_20201002_160903photo screenshot_20201002_161051-63055

First things first, I had to take a look at the buffet bars to see what food did they serve here.

photo screenshot_20201002_161136

There were plenty of options here like salads, finger food, pastry, fruits, and desserts.

photo img_20200907_124431photo img_20200907_124440

There was also a Pho-bar if you want to have Vietnamese Pho, and a lot of beverages at the drinks bar.

photo screenshot_20201002_161104photo screenshot_20201002_161126

More interestingly, at the table, I can order hot dishes inside the a la carte menu, and there were a lot of choices of hot meals here. That's so cool :D

photo screenshot_20201002_173901

From the bar, I got some Nicoise salad and Vietnamese spring rolls with dipping sauce.

photo screenshot_20201002_161146

For drink, I asked for a glass of peach nectar.

photo screenshot_20201002_161153

From the menu, I ordered pumpkin soup with croutons

photo screenshot_20201002_161159

And a portion of vegetarian meal with stir-fry tofu, veggies, and rice.

photo screenshot_20201002_161205

I like this lounge a lot. It's well-designed, comfortable and not crowded. But most importantly, the food here is delicious.

photo screenshot_20201002_161213-57991photo screenshot_20201002_161221-55772photo screenshot_20201002_161230

Also, this lounge has a great view of the tarmac, which is super essential for aviation geeks like us lol :D

photo screenshot_20201002_161255

Time to leave the lounge, go downstairs and head to the departure gate for this flight.

photo screenshot_20201002_161446photo screenshot_20201002_161458

Here was the departure gate for this flight: gate 11.

photo screenshot_20201002_161507photo screenshot_20201002_161514

That was the aircraft for today's flight. It has the registration of VN-A818, and it was 0.9 years old.

Boarding

photo screenshot_20201002_161534

Before continuing the boarding process, I had to stay here and wait a bit for some more preparations.

photo screenshot_20201002_161551

This Business Class cabin is in an alternating 1-2-1 configuration with 26 Super Diamond seats from Collins Aerospace.

photo screenshot_20201002_161608

This was my seat on this flight: seat 18A.

photo screenshot_20201002_161616photo screenshot_20201002_161625photo screenshot_20201002_161633

Legroom was extremely humongous as usual on these kind of seats.

photo screenshot_20201002_175136

Welcome drink and refreshing tissue were handed out right after boarding. I chose a glass of detox drink.

photo screenshot_20201002_161802

Let's have a closer look at this seat

On the left side, I had plenty of storage spaces.

photo screenshot_20201002_161924photo screenshot_20201002_161932

Inside this, I got a universal power socket

photo screenshot_20201002_161945

An IFE control with a small screen, which wasn't active on this flight

And it could be lifted to be an armrest.

photo screenshot_20201002_162040

What do you think about this seat? For me, this one is the best Business Class seat I've ever experienced :D

About 30 minutes after boarding, the aircraft started to pushback and taxied to the runway.

Unfortunately, the IFE system was still not available on 787s :(

photo screenshot_20201002_162246

20 minutes after take-off, brunch was served. There were 2 choices of main dish: salmon sandwich or cod congee.

photo screenshot_20201002_162252

And this was the meal that I chose.

photo img_20200907_144228

Vietnamese congee with cod

photo img_20200907_144256

Some fresh fruits such as orange, watermelon, and cantaloupe.

photo img_20200907_144302

For drink, I got a glass of apple juice and another glass of water.

photo screenshot_20201002_162309

Salt, pepper, and a tiny tube of soy sauce.

photo screenshot_20201002_162316

This brunch was more than what I expected. I liked all the things on the tray, especially the main dish. It was absolutely tasty :D

Let's have a look at the lavatory at the Business Class cabin.

photo screenshot_20201002_162358

This lavatory was not luxury compared the one in Premium Economy (check out my last report: https://flight-report.com/en/report/48314/bamboo-airways-qh247-hanoi-han-ho-chi-minh-city-sgn) , but this one was still shining clean and well-equipped.

In the literature pocket, I had: an inflight magazine of Bamboo Airways named LOOK, a safety card, and a sickness bag.

Let's see how this seat looks like when converting into 180 degrees lie-flat bed.

And this is how it looks like.

These were a glass of water and refreshing tissue that I got.

After over 90 minutes in the air, the aircraft started to descend and prepared for landing.

Conclusion

The check-in process was super quick thanks to being a Business Class passenger lol. The lounge, as I said, was amazing. It has cozy atmosphere and many selections of meals. I could say this lounge one of the few best lounges in T1 of HAN. The interiors on the Business Class cabin have a luxurious vibe, and the seat was remarkable and extraordinary comfortable. The flight departed on time and arrived sooner than estimated time. The catering services on this flight were definitely the highlights on this flight, especially the meal service. This brunch or light snack was the best one I've had on Business Class hands down. Also, the crews on this flight were kind, helpful, and professional. In conclusion, I was impressed with the Business Class of Bamboo Airways and I had a great time being on this flight. With this Business Class product, I can imagine how good it's gonna be on the future long haul flights with Bamboo Airways ;)

  • Very nice report. Bamboo Airways has a solid product by the looks of it! And especially the lounge(food) looks good.

    Thanks for the report.

  • Despite Covid-19, it is amazing to see that Aviation is still very booming and busy in Vietnam and it seems that Bamboo is definitely improving over time. A very nice soft & hard product, though boarding when the aircraft is not ready yet is not very nice. Thanks for sharing though!

  • Awesome report as always! Bamboo's 787 cabins are all very attractive, especially the Busines cabin. It was such bad timing to receive these new aircraft right as Covid was shutting down travel! I look forward to seeing these beautiful aircraft on long-haul once things get a little better. Bamboo will really give VN a run for their money product-wise.

    Thanks for sharing!
