Hi guys. Welcome to my next report on Flight-Report. Today, I will fly with Vietnam Airlines from Bangkok to Hanoi on Airbus A321. But first, please check out my trip report about this flight on YouTube. This video is more detailed than the script version on Flight-Report and has more special things there, so I hope you guys will check out, like the video and support to my channel by subscribe Vinavia on YouTube :D
And here is the script report. Hope you guys will enjoy :D
Today's flight would start at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok.
Let's go inside the terminal.
Departure hall of the terminal.
Today, I would fly on flight VN610 to Hanoi, and the estimated departure time would be 12:20 pm.
Vietnam Airlines' check-in area
Because I already did online check-in, so I went to the bag drop counter to check my luggage and get my boarding pass.
Luggage was checked, and got my boarding pass, Now I went upstairs to do pre-flight procedures and get into airside
After spending quite a lot of time for securiry check and passport control, I finally made it into the the airside.
After getting around the duty free shops, I went to the departure gate of this flight.
My gate was at the D zone of the terminal.
The aircraft for this flight had just arrived from Hanoi. The registration of this A321 is VN-A614, and it was 3.9 years old.
The gate for this flight was gate D8.
A closer look to today flight's aircraft.
Boarding was called, and the passengers would board through jetbridge.
My seat on this flight was 34A. This seat is exactly the same one as on Vietnam Airlines' Airbus A321neos.
Legroomn was really spacious and comfortable.
Tray table
View from my window, and cabin view from my seat.
Refreshing tissue was distributed before take-off
About 30 minutes after boarding, the aircraft started to pushback and taxi to the runway.
Take-off
In the seat pocket, I had: a sickness bag, a safety card, and an inflight magazine of Vietnam Airlines called Heritage Fashion.
15 minutes after take-off, hot meals were served. There were 2 choices of meals: chicken or beef.
And I chose the beef option on this flight
Main course: Braised Beef with Stir-fry Butternut Squash and Steamed Rice
Appertizer: Grilled Chicken with Pickled Vegetables
Desert: Some kind of coconut pudding
In the tray, I also had a bread roll, and butter to eat with.
For drink, I asked for a cup of apple juice.
Like on my last inbound flight to Bangkok, Vietnam Airlines again amazed me with their catering services (check out my last trip report from Hanoi to Bangkok with Vietnam Airlines: https://flight-report.com/en/report/40888/vietnam-airlines-vn611-hanoi-han-bangkok-bkk). Having a full meal on a 90 minutes is such a great accomplishment, and I ate all the things on that tray :D
After the meal service ended, tea and coffee were served.
After the meal trays were cleared, I asked for a cup of water.
View from my window.
Sadly, the overhead screens did not work as usual on this flight, so nothing was aired during the flight, which made this flight a bit boring.
After about 90 minutes in the air, the aircraft started to descend and prepared to land.

Conclusion
The check-in process was quite smooth, even though not the quickest one I've ever had. The flight departed in time. The meal is definitely the highlight of this flight. It totally impressed me. The greatest downside of this flight was the crews' attitude. They seemed pretty unhappy, and serious during the flight. In conclusion, the meal completely saved this flight. Without it, it would be an average flight.
