Hello everyone welcome to another flight report . This time its going to on board a Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300er operating QR273 from Doha to Amsterdam. Firstly for those interested a video version of this flight report is available on my YouTube channel, the link attached above. So lets get back to the flight report, my trip didn't originate from Doha infact this was connecting airport for me from my flight from Karachi . The report of that flight is available on my flight report account , for those interested you can check it out
After getting off my earlier flight made my way through Hamad International Airport to get to my next flight. The airport really is stunning and in my opinion one of the best hubs to catch a connecting flight.
After a quick walk made it to the gate for my flight to Amsterdam. I got a good view of the beauty that would be flying me to Amsterdam. A 2014 built Boeing 777-300ER with the registration of A7-BEB.
After some time at the gate it was time to board the Boeing 777. Got a picture of those beautiful GE90-115Bs through the jetway. Seriously the Boeing 777-300er is an amazing aircraft.
The seat had a nice IFE screen IFE remote and a USB port to charge small hand held devices. The seat also had some really good legroom and on a 7 hour flight like this it is greatly appreciated.
My seat was in the last row of the front economy cabin.Had a really nice view of those GE 90s from my seat.
The seat pocket contents consisted of a disposable bag, Boeing 777-300er safety card and the "Oryx" inflight magazine.
The headphones for the IFE system along with a comfortable pilow and blanket were also available on the seat.
Shortly after all the passengers had boarded the aircraft, the cabin crew distributed these refreshing towels to all the passengers to freshen up.
We pushed back from our gate on time . A Qatar Airways A380 Airbus A330-300 heading to London Heathrow and Istanbul respectively .
A quick taxi to Runway 34L and we off on our 7 hour journey to Amsterdam. Seriously a GE90 spooling up on takeoff never gets old.
For those interested the whole take off from Doha is attached below.
Got some nice views of the city of Doha as we climb out of Hamad International Airport. Doha looks like an interesting city, would love to visit it someday.
Shortly after we reached cruising altitude the cabin crew distributed the menu for the the flight. On this 7 hour flight breakfast and a light snack would be served. Three options for the main meal is pretty amazing in my opinion.
The cabin on this Boeing 777-300er was very modern and fresh looking . It also had some nice mood lighting.
Around an hour into the flight , the breakfast service commenced. Out of the 3 options i opted for the eggs option. It consisted of scrambled eggs with chicken sausage , roasted potatoes and a grilled tomato. It was accompanied by some yoghurt with strawberry compote, fresh seasonal fruit, a croissant , bottle of water and some strawberry jam. All in all a good filling breakfast .
Decided on watching an episode of "The Big Bang Theory " with my meal . The IFE system onboard Qatar Airways is really extensive with good variety of TV shows, movies etc.
Some nice views outside the window as we cruise at 36000 feet somewhere over Iran. Seriously when given the choice I would always choose a day time flight to not miss out on these amazing views.
An hour before landing in Amsterdam , a small pre landing snack was served . It consisted of a chicken pastry and a choice of drink for which i opted for a glass of sprite. Really appreciate it when an airlines serves a pre landing snack.
Very soon it was time to descend into Amsterdam Schipol Airport.
For those interested the entire approach and landing in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is attached below.
The approach into Schiphol was definitely not calm . The Netherlands are known for there powerful winds and ample rainfall and during the approach i feel the pilots really had some tiring workload to battle those strong winds.
A quick left turn and we line up with Runway 18R also known as " Polderbaan"
And we touchdown in Amsterdam on time . Even though the approach was very bumpy the pilots deserve a round of applause for the really smooth touchdown.
For those who travel into Amsterdam often I'm sure you know that Runway 18R is on the the other side of the airport and is almost completely isolated so we than began our longish taxi towards the terminal. Amsterdam was my final destination so i didn't have anything to worry about but people who were connecting here could really have some tight connecting times as the taxi from Polderbaan to the main terminal can take up to 30 minutes.
Some plane spotting as we make our way towards our gate.
And after quiet a long taxi we made it to our assigned gate bringing us to the end of this flight report.

Conclusion
Overall another fantastic flight with Qatar Airways, The seat was really comfortable , i was really tired from my earlier flight that was at half past 4 in the morning so on this flight really could get good sleep for at least 3 hours. The meals served on this flight were fresh , tasty and good in quantity . Always really appreciate in when airlines serve a pre landing snack . The IFE system was also really good with ample choices but as i said before was really tired so didn't really use it much during the flight. To conclude i really recommend Qatar Airways , they are a really good airline and also Hamad International Airport also adds to the good experience. I cant wait to fly with them in the near future again.

Looks impressive in every aspect. How were the staffs on your flight? When compared with Singapore Airlines, staff is one area where QR is slightly behind.
