I had some troubles with my ticket but quickly solved by a check-in agent staff and I got my boarding pass after that. Then I went to immigration check.

15 minutes later, I finally finished the immigration and security check procedures and made into airside. Then I went straight to the departure gate.

Take-off

After take-off, menus and headphones were handed out.

photo screenshot_20191223_230916

Let's take a look at today flight's menu.

photo screenshot_20191223_230921photo screenshot_20191223_230926

While waiting for the meals, I took a look to the inflight entertainment system on this flight. As I saw, the selection of this IFE system were pretty large with many of movies, films, TV shows and song, unfortunately most of them were in Russian and English contents were limited. But for me, it was decent and enough to keep me entertain on this 9-hours flight. Also, the personal screens was not very responsive at some parts and corners.

45 minutes after take-off, first meal  service was started. And drinks were served first.

photo screenshot_20191223_231006-12806

And I asked for a cup of berry juice.

photo screenshot_20191223_231010

Hot meals were served shortly after that.

photo screenshot_20191223_231015-10527

There were 2 options of meals and I chose the beef option.

photo screenshot_20191223_231109

Main course: Hungarian beef goulash with sauteed zucchini and potato with parsley.

photo screenshot_20191223_231020

Appetizer: Smoked dory fish with vegetables.

photo screenshot_20191223_231026

Dessert: Chocolate cheese cake.

photo screenshot_20191223_231031

Bread roll and butter

photo screenshot_20191223_231055

For drink, I asked for a cup of orange juice.

photo screenshot_20191223_231105

The meal was superb, everything on the tray was made really nice and delicious. I ate all the food on the meal tray.

photo img_20190810_124106

Here was the other option: Seafood with tomato basil sauce, pasta and vegetables.

photo img_20190810_123720

In the seat pocket, I had: a shopping catalogue of Aeroflot named SkyShop, two inflight magazine: one was Aeroflot and the another one was Aeroflot Style, a safety card, and a sickness bag.

photo img_20190810_133442

In the amenity kit, I had: hand lotion, earplugs, eyeshade, and a pair of paper slippers.

photo screenshot_20191223_231114photo img_20190810_133124

I went to the lavatory and took a glance there.  I was very impressed with this lavatory, especially the cleanliness, and how new and well-equipped it was.

photo screenshot_20191223_231143photo screenshot_20191223_231148

Toothbrush sets and body lotion were also equipped in the lavatory.

photo screenshot_20191223_231153

Cabin view

photo screenshot_20191223_231158

The plane has travelled one third of the way to Moscow and I took some time to watch a little bit of a movie, enjoy the views outside the window then I took a nap.

2 hours later, I woke up and the plane was flying near the border between Uzbekistan and Russia.

photo screenshot_20191223_231225

Self-service bars were located in the galleys, and free drinks and snacks were provided there. I had taken some crackers, fruit bar, and Tula pryanik, which is a traditional Russian honey cake.

photo screenshot_20191223_231233

On this flight, I can access to inflight Wi-fi with extra fees. Unfortunately, the fees were pretty expensive so I decided not to access the Internet. But you still can read news on this system.

Before descending, second meal service was started. And like the first round of meal service, drinks were served first.

photo screenshot_20191223_231301-24799

And I asked for a cup of berry juice.

photo screenshot_20191223_231305

Hot meals were served shortly after that.

photo screenshot_20191223_231311-10197

There were 2 options of meal and I chose the fish option.

photo img_20190810_182243

Main course: Steamed dory fish with ginger oyster sauce, egg noodles, and green mustard leaves.

photo screenshot_20191223_231321

Appetizer: Grilled Cajun chicken with vegetables.

photo screenshot_20191223_231326

Almond bread roll, butter and chocolate.

photo screenshot_20191223_231334

For drink, again I asked for a cup of berry juice because I really like this drink and this beverage is Aeroflot's signature drink :D

photo screenshot_20191223_231341

Again, like the first meal, I really liked this meal. It was really delicious and tasty.

photo img_20190810_182239

Here was the other option: Chicken Gorky style with potato and vegetables.

photo img_20190810_181830

After over 8 hours flying in the air, the aircraft was started to descend and prepared to land.

photo screenshot_20191223_231347

And the landscapes of Russia started to appear outside the window.

Conclusion

Even though there was some problems with my ticket, the check-in staff solved it very quickly. The interior inclusing the lavatory were new and well maintained, and the seat was really comfortable to sit throughout this long flight. The only thing I would complain was the personal screen. It wasn't responsive at the corners and sometimes it went out of order. Seat amenites were well-equipped, especially the amenity kit. I didn't expect to have amenity kit for Economy Class passengers on this flight. The meals were surely the best thing on this flight. They were super delicious, and the presentations were eye-catching. Moreover, there were plentiful of snacks and free drinks to take at the galley. The crews were really nice and helpful with such a great Russian hospitality. In conclusion, I was really amazed with Aeroflot's services during the flight. It's much greater than what I expected.
