Review of easyJet flight London → Valencia in Economy

Hola/ Hello!

Welcome to this flight report dating back a few months before the worldwide first lockdown in 2020. This flight is onboard one of easyJet's
new toy, the A320NEO from London Gatwick to Valencia in Spain,
Lets begin!

Upon arriving at Gatwick and passing through security I checked the departures board.
Our flight is set for 7:40am. 

Not much happened whilst waiting around in the departures hall, I grabbed a sandwich from Boots and watched the planes.

Soon enough we got the call for boarding at 7am, made our way out to the aircraft.

This mornings flight will be operated by G-UZLC which at the time off this flight was just under 7 months old.  

Stepping into the aircraft from the rear doors I walked up the aisle to my seat 22A.

This A320NEO has the new slimline seats which looked freshly cleaned with the belts nicely placed. 
Finding my seat I got myself settled and waited for the last remaining passengers to board before push back.

Sadly my window was quite dirty on the outside, but managed to snap this TUI 757-200 taxing with us towards the runway.

With the doors closed, cross checked and push back from the gate we follow the TUI 757 towards the runway. 

The TUI thundered down the runway and up into the air it was soon enough our turn. Zooming down the runway and up into the morning clouds with the frosty fields below quickly disappearing.

Luckily enough the turbulence and clouds soon cleared up as we approached the English Channel.

Reaching cruising altitude above Northern France the cloud cover cleared up completely, perfect for a smooth flight down to Spain. 

Decided to get up and walk to the back cabin to stretch my legs and use the toilet. I didn't take any photos off the restroom but its exactly the same as any other EZY aircrafts. Check out this other review I did on the airline to Vienna for information about easyJet's restrooms:

The back galley was kept clean and tidy, with the storage boxes locked in securely and painted in the traditional easyJet orange.

Shortly after my walk around the cabin we reached the Pyrenees mountain range.

Lets take a look at the seating area.

Like every other seating on other easyJet aircrafts you will find a reasonably sized folding tray table,
the safety card and a coat hook on the sides off the seats in front.

Leg room is average for a low cost carrier with space to move around.
Good enough for any short haul flight.

It was time to buckle up our belts and descend into Valencia.

Already the aircraft was being thrown around due to the strong wind gusts as we fly over Valencia city centre.
Down below on the photos you can see the famous Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe. 

Soaring over the housing districts we made a hard landing onto runway 30.
On our taxi towards the terminal I could see a good variety off aircrafts:

Pronair cargo Boeing 747-200F that has been store here since October 2008

Lauda Air Airbus A320

Wizz Air Airbus A321  

Lots off Ryanair Boeing 737-800s

Nyx Air SAAB 340B sporting the livery off its previous owners American Eagle

The ground attached the air steps promptly and we was allowed to disembark.

What a great aircraft! 

That was it, my flight to Valencia was standard but enjoyable.
Especially the approach into Valencia being extremely turbulent.

I spent two full days exploring the amazing city before hopping on my Iberia Regional flight over to Mallorca.
