Today, I would fly on flight QH245 to Ho Chi Minh City, and the estimated departure time would be 9 am. This was my first time being in the Premium Economy Class, so I was extremely excited for this flight.

Bamboo Airways' check-in area

To sit in the Premium Economy cabin, I had selected the Premium Economy Class seat in the front for just 165.000đ (about $7). Keep in mind that it was just Premium Economy Class seat selection, the services remained the same as Economy Class. (the price for Premium Economy Class seat selection will be different on international flights)

10 minutes later, I got my boarding pass. Now I went to the security check area.

After 10 minutes, I finally made it into the airside. Then I went to the departure gate of this flight.

Here was the departure gate of this flight: gate 11

This was the aircraft for today's flight. A Boeing 787 named Sam Son Beach with the registration of VN-A818, and it was 0.3 years old.

This aircraft was delivered on January 2020, and it was the 2nd B787 joined Bamboo Airways' fleets.

Boarding

Here was my seat on this flight: seat 33A.

photo screenshot_20200306_181414

Legroom was huge and tremendous compared to Economy Class.

And there is a footrest under the front seat.

And there is a personal device holder in the tray table.

30 minutes after boarding, the aircraft started to pushback and taxi to the runway.

Safety demonstration was demonstrated during that time.

Take-off

About 10 minutes after take-off, snacks were served.

photo screenshot_20200306_181836

And this was the snack box that I got.

photo img_20200229_092536

In the box, I had a Vietnamese banh mi sandwich.

photo screenshot_20200306_181844

And a bottle of water.

photo screenshot_20200306_181851

The banh mi sandwich was filled with pate and lettuce.

photo screenshot_20200306_181900

This sandwich tasted alright, a bit dry, and it reminds me of the the one I had on my first flight flight with Bamboo Airways.

photo img_20200229_093130

Like the last flight on Boeing 787 of Bamboo Airways, the IFE system was not yet available.

Let's have a look at the lavatory in the front of the cabin. This lavatory is the best lavatory I've ever been. It was really spacious, clean and it felt luxurious.

photo screenshot_20200306_181928photo screenshot_20200306_181937photo screenshot_20200306_181950

And it's super cool to see a window inside this lavatory.

In the seat pocket, I had: a sickness bag, a safety card, and an inflight magazine of Bamboo Airways named LOOK.

In the remaining time of the flight, I tried the relax mode of the seat by raising the leg rest.

photo screenshot_20200306_182114

It wasn't much but it certainly bought more relaxation while sitting.

photo screenshot_20200306_182142

After about 1 hour and 15 minutes in the air, the aircraft started to descend and prepared for landing.

Conclusion

The check-in procedure was a bit slow and time consuming due to the high volume of passengers. The interior included the lavatory were super gorgeous, and the seat was really awesome & comfortable to sit on. The flight departed and arrived on time. The sandwich was decent. It was a bit dried but not that bad, and it's better than nothing. The crews on this flight were nice, but not the best Bamboo Airways' crews I've experienced. They could be better. Overall, this time I had a comfortable flight and enjoyable experience with Bamboo Airways. With just $7 upgrade to Premium Economy, it's totally worth with the price to get more comfort, especially on long-haul flights.
