Welcome back to another travel series. This relatively short and simple report highlights the trans-border service between the 6ix and NYC.
Due to the holiday season, TSA lines were rather slow but soon enough I was in the US bound wing of Terminal 1.

MCO,TPA and LAS Rouge 767s side by side.

AC 788 bound for LAX.

AC 742's flight was being operated from the new gates at T1. These gates were about a 15 minute walk from the rest of the terminal.

By these gates, there's a maple leaf lounge express, a Starbucks and one bar. Apart from that it resembles a regional airport terminal.

Inbound Rouge A319

C-FYGL, our aircraft today, arriving at the gate.

Pushback and start.

These A320 aircraft still have AC's old interiors, which I prefer over the relatively newer seats.

Though we were on our way to NYC, the map thought otherwise. Wouldn't have minded a flight to Grand Cayman, haha!

Even for short flight, AC offered a simple beverage service.

About 40 minutes later we began our descent into LGA and landed on RWY 22.

Company tails, bound for YYZ and YUL respectively.

Air Canada uses LGA's newest terminal. I can definitely say its impressive and a huge contrast to their older terminals.

Sourced from Flightradar24, here's our route down to New York City.

Hi Jaz350!
Thanks for this interesting report.
I wonder if the long duration reported for this 540km flight (almost 1 hour 40 minutes!) has to do with the different time zones in Canada and the US. Otherwise, this could be a case of an airline extending flight times to give the false impression that they are on time. I read about this practice here: https://www.thesun.co.uk/travel/7109423/airlines-flights-longer-avoid-passenger-compensation-delays/
Hahahah The pilot must be an undercover Uber driver and he forgot to reset the app after the previous flight! He must be making millions! XD
Thanks for sharing! :D
Yeah many airlines do it to appear onetime, as well as to give buffer for any minor delays and such. Haha, and you're welcome!
Hey JAZ350, thanks for sharing. Looks like another interesting routing in the making with some less-common airlines and routes!
I don't blame you, the older seats are more comfortable and still have IFE and power, so pretty good deal. They're not the most aesthetically pleasing, though haha
You're right, aesthetic wise, they're not that great haha. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
