This report is covering my flight back to Paris after this daytrip in London.
I used the Piccadilly Line to reach Heathrow, Terminal 5 station is well designed, within seconds you are at check in level thanks to their elevators.
Security went smoothly.
As I have two hours to wait before my flight I elected a seat facing the arrival runway in use.
Trafic is mostly BA,
An A319 “Dove” still wearing the special Olympic livery.

B767 from BA and B777-300ER from TK, some get to experienced long haul comfort on European hop, isn’t it James?

And what I though was a 767 at first, finally turned up to be one of the new 787.

I was secretly hoping for a Dove aircraft, and it turned out to be the case with the G-EUPG doing the favour today.

Service is pretty standard, Chips and G&T.

They are quite tasty.

Our cruising altitude is only FL230.

Due to major thunderstorm around Paris, we flew straight south first and then turned 90 degrees left as shown on the overhead screens.

And this is my first time going through immigration at Orly, no queue though.

Conclusion

BA did their job, they are providing a good and efficient product on their European flights, Catering is standard but satisfactory and you do get a full bar service which is a plus, seats are comfortable but with sign of tears.

I love this livery, I had the chance to fly on it last year, unfortunatly by night time so my photos (and FR) weren't very nice...

I find the pack of crisps a bit light but after all that's what the direct competition offers too x)

Nice to see the 787 in BA colours !

Fantastic livery. I like the gold color.

Despite the fact that Orly is an old airport, it's much more convenient than Roissy: no queues at passport controls and no wait at conveyor belts.

Indeed a LHR-IST with a 77W should be great especially in Business class with a full flat bed
