Today's flight would start at Terminal 1, Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi.

Let's go inside the terminal.

Departure hall of the terminal

Today, I would fly on flight VN259 to Ho Chi Minh City, and the estimated departure time would be 5.00 pm.

Vietnam Airlines' check-in area

Check-in procedure was really fast, and I quickly got a boarding pass. Then I headed to the security check.

Security procedure was really slow, and nearly 30 minutes later, I got into airside. Then I went straight to the departure gate of this flight.

Here was the departure gate of this flight: gate 9.

Boarding was called, and I went downstairs and got on the bus to get to the aircraft.

This was the aircraft for today's flight.

This Boeing 787-9 has the registration of VN-A861, and it was 5.1 years old.

Boarding

Here was my seat on this flight: seat 24A.

Legroom was pretty large and super comfortable to me.

Tray table

Personal screen

With USB port located under the screen.

AVOD controller

Also, this seat has a headrest that can be adjustable.

View from my window, and cabin view from my seat.

About 20 minutes after boarding, the aircraft started to pushback and taxied to the runway.

And safety video was aired on the screens while taxiing.

Take-off

15 minutes after take-off, snacks and drinks were served.

And this was a snack box that I got.

Let's open the box to see what's inside.

I got a package of dried meat floss soft waffle.

And another package of tomato biscuits sticks.

For drink, I asked for a cup of coke.

The snacks were pretty nice. I really like the waffle because it tasted really great and it got an interesting texture when chewing. The biscuits were quite dry but not too bad.

View from my window, and cabin view from my seat during the flight.

Let's have a look at the entertainment system on this flight.

There were a lot of selections and choices in this IFE system, which was very impressive for this domestic short flight. Also, the touchscreen was really responsive.

The plane was halfway to Ho Chi Minh City, and it was flying through a light turbulence at that time.

In the seat pocket, I had: a sickness bag, a safety card, and an inflight magazine of Vietnam Airlines named Heritage.

Night had fallen, and the views outside the window were getting darker and darker.

After about 1 hour and 20 minutes in the air, the aircraft started to descend and prepared for landing.

Landing

Disembarkation

My journey had ended at Domestic Terminal, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City. Thank you for reading and watching, and see you in the next report :D

Nice report! I flew VN259 few years ago, and I got a full meal, as it was dinnet time. It's interesting to see that they no longer give full meal on this particular flight. Does VN no longer give meal on all HAN-SGN flights?
