Hi guys. Welcome to my next report on Flight-Report. Today, I will fly with Vietjet Air from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong on Airbus A321. But first, please check out my trip report about this flight on YouTube. This video is more detailed than the script version on Flight-Report and has more special things there, so I hope you guys will check out, like the video and support to my channel by subscribing Vinavia on YouTube :D
And here is the script report. Hope you guys will enjoy :D
Today's flight would start at Domestic Terminal, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City.

I already headed to the departure hall for all Vietjet Air flights.

Today, I would fly on flight VJ270 to Hai Phong, and the estimated departure time would be 5.45 am.

I took my boarding pass from the check-in machine, and my seat got screw up. The story is that I pre-booked my seat already when I bought the ticket, which is a window seat. But for some "technical reasons" (according to the airline staff), when I got the boarding pass, my seat was automatically changed to the middle seat. I ran to the check-in counter to try to reassign my seat, but the staff said that seat was already occupied by another passenger and they couldn't help about it. So now I'm stuck with a middle seat and wasted money for choosing the seat. Thanks, VJ :(

Then I had to rush to do a security check and get into airside. And as you see, the line waiting for security check was extremely long. Feeling really frustrated right now and pretty scared because boarding was nearly called.

After a long and tired 15 minutes, security check was done and I finally got into airside.

Here was the departure gate of this flight: gate 20, and this is a bus gate.

Last call was made, and I was one of the last passengers getting on the bus to get to the aircraft. Thank God that I didn't miss the flight :D

This was the aircraft for today's flight. This Airbus A321 has the registration of VN-A541, and it was 4.4 years old.

Vietjet Air leased this aircraft after the collapse of Thomas Cook, that's why the livery of Thomas Cook is untouched for most parts. I was so lucky to experience this rare ex-Thomas Cook's plane, and it reminds us of the good old days when MT still existed.

Boarding

Here was my seat on this flight: seat 9A. Huge thanks to the lady sat next to me for agreeing to change her seat for me :D

Legroom was not so wide but quite decent to me.

Tray table

AVOD controller, which is no longer active on this aircraft.

All the interiors and the details from Thomas Cook were still intact on this plane, which made me feel like I'm on Thomas Cook's flight.

View from my window, and cabin view from my seat.

About 15 minutes after boarding, the aircraft started to pushback and taxied to the runway.

Take-off

In the seat pocket, I had: a safety card, a menu, and an inflight magazine of Vietjet Air named one2FLY.

10 minutes after take-off, buy-on-board service was started.

Here is the meal that I bought.

I bought a portion of stir-fry glass noodles with crab and shrimp, which costs me 55.000đ or about $2.4.

And a cup of coffee, which costs me 25.000đ or $1.

The noodles were a bit bland, but it still tasted quite nice. Overall, it was a decent breakfast in the sky :)

View from my window, and cabin view from my seat during the flight.

Because I woke up really soon, and too tired after all happened that morning, so I took a rest in the most of the flight time.

After over 90 minutes in the air, the aircraft started to descend and prepared for landing.

The views of Hai Phong started to appear outside the window.

Landing

Disembarkation

My journey had ended at Cat Bi International Airport, Hai Phong. Thank you for reading and watching, and see you in the next report :D

It's fun too see all these reports on VietJet's leased or newly acquired a/c. There are a lot of ex-Thomas Cook (RIP) birds floating out there--funny to see after a year they're still pretty much the same inside.
Beautiful photos and video as always!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your comment.
I guess Vietjet just keep the interiors the same because they don't want to pay money to repaint and retrofit the interiors.
