Introduction
This report is of a work trip in 2011. I was to return on same day. I arrived at the airport by train.
Check-in Counter
I didn't have to check-in bag as I was just carrying work bag. I had booked the ticket on short notice.

I got my boarding card and was ready to pass security.

I passed security without issues.Terminal was busy with morning peak.
Breakfast
Had breakfast before heading towards the gate as there service on board was buy on board.
Virgin Australia was undergoing branding change from Low Cost Carrier to Full Service Carrier.

Boarding
Departure boarding gate was Gate 35.

Boarding was through stairs

Front seating passengers entered using aerobridge and rear section passengers through stairs.

Onboard
Crew checked the boarding pass on entering the aircraft.

Got settled in the window seat.

Departure for the flight was from runway 25. Qantas Boeing 747-400ER in Wunala Dreaming livery was lined behind the aircraft. Heading East before turning North.
