I asked my friend to drop me at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport.

The only two entrance into the terminal (another one for arrival at the end of this building)

Kota Bharu’s airport is the busiest in the East Coast of Peninsula Malaysia, on top of Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan in Terengganu and Pahang respectively. With average of 25 flights between Kota Bharu and Kuala Lumpur/Subang daily.
This airport used to serve Singapore route by Scoot. Another direct flights served from Kota Bharu are Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Penang. By the end of this year AirAsia will commence direct flights to Johor Bahru and Langkawi from Kota Bharu.
I went to the kiosk to get a proper boarding pass.

The flight departed on time. Usually it will be a busy morning in Kota Bharu. Even at this time, Malaysia Airlines haven't started its operation to Kota Bharu yet. It was only AirAsia, Malindo Air and Fireflyz turboprop flights that operating.

The flight arrived in Kuala Lumpur on time. A very long taxi to reach the gate.

Reached into arrival hall to take a lunch with my mom that will be arriving from Labuan. Later in the evening, we will fly to Langkawi Island. Will be covered in the next flight report.
Thank you for reading :)

Thanks for the report Mohd, short but sweet. Would be interesting to hear something about AirAsia's current onboard service and how it's adapted this year? How is Malaysian domestic travel in general?
I visited KBR in May of last year, flying in with Malaysian and out with Firefly. I remember wandering around that departure hall with the portrait, confused as hell and looking for a taxi! It's hard to see it all again just as quiet and subdued as here.
