Hey guys and welcome to another flight report. This time it will be with Etihad Airways onboard there Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner from Abu Dhabi to Amsterdam. Firstly for those interested a video version of this flight report is available on my YouTube channel. It is linked above.
My journey originated from Karachi with Abu Dhabi only being my connecting point. The flight report of that specific flight can be found here : https://flight-report.com/en/report/51748/etihad-airways-ey222-karachi-khi-abu-dhabi-auh
Anyway, after de boarding the earlier flight , I made my way to the next gate for my flight to Amsterdam.

As I made my way to my gate got some nice pictures of some beautiful Etihad heavies getting prepped up for there next destinations.

Very soon it was time to board the beautiful Dreamliner. Bus boarding is very common at Abu Dhabi airport due to the large number of remote stands and I didn't mind it as it gives me a nice view of the different aircrafts especially on a day flight.
The aircraft flying me to Amsterdam is a Boeing 787-10 with the registration of A6-BMD. It was delivered to Etihad in December 2018 and wears a special " ADNOC- Choose China Livery " .

After a warm welcome by the cabin crew , I made my way to my seat , 37K , for the next 7 hours. Because this flight was flown during the peak Corona period only residence of The Netherlands and students were allowed to enter the country hence the entire load of the flight was vey low at just around 60 passengers total.

The seat consists of a a large touch screen with a charging port and socket. The legroom was also ample on these new Dreamliners as there was enough room for me to stretch my legs.

Inside the seat pocket was a waste bag and a Boeing 787-10 safety card. No inflight magazine due to COVID 19. Also present pillow and blanket in a hygienic seal.

After all the passengers had boarded the aircraft , the cabin crew distributed earphone for the IFE system and a " wellness " kit that consisted of hand sanitizer latex gloves and disposable masks.

The view from my seat was quiet nice , just behind the right wing so I have a nice view of the wing flex of the Dreamliner.

The cabin had a fresh feel to it and was nice and modern.

We then began our pushback on time from the remote stand . With engines fired up we made our way to the active Runway.

After lining up on Runway 13R , we we accelerate down the runway and lift off on our way to Amsterdam.

Shortly after reaching cruising altitude , the lunch service commenced. For the main course there was an option of chicken or lamb for which I went for the later option. It was a biryani with tender chunks of lamb and it was accompanied by a quinoa salad , chocolate moose , bottle of water and a bread roll.

A quick look outside the window and we have clear blue skies as we cruise over Greece at 37000 feet.

The IFE system installed on board these Dreamliners are very advance. With numerous movies , TV shows etc in in different languages I'm sure you will be kept busy on a 12 15 hour flight also. The Touch screen being very responsive is also an added bonus.

We are slowly nearing the end of our journey as we leave Germany.

And we commence our descent into Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

On finals for Runway 06 as we had a Kaagbaan arrival that afternoon.

At touchdown in Amsterdam Schiphol on time. The landing was slightly bumpy but I guess that is due to the windy Netherlands climate.

After vacating Runway 06 , we make our way to the Terminal building. As we didn't have a Polderbaan arrival, today the taxi wasn't very time consuming.

We park next to KLM Boeing 787-10 in a special " 100 years livery " that had just pushed back. And this brings us to the end of this flight report.

Hi Triple7Lover, nice report! The new EY cabins looks really nice and those large headrests seem like a good way to add comfort and a slight bit of separation between Economy pax. The lamb does look really good.
Thanks for sharing!
