INTERO
Hello and welcome to this flight-report from Tel Aviv (TLV) to Madrid (MAD) with Iberia.
FIRST THING IS THE ROUTING OF THIS TRIP!
Flight routing
- 1Tel Aviv TLV - Madrid MAD Iberia A330-300
- 2Madrid MAD - Tel Aviv TLV Air Europa Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
INTroduction
I bought the ticket one month before the flight. I was sitting with my friend and we thought about a nice destination that we can visit with a flight on a wide-body jet.
Surprisingly I find a one-way ticket from Tel Aviv to Madrid on Iberia for only 79$! This fare is extremely cheap!
The return flight I bought with Air Europa on their Dreamliner for 80$. They don't have the ideal hours on the way to TLV (Take off at 9 AM) but the fare was also extremely cheap so I use their service and flew with them the return flight

iberia a330-300 cabin
Iberia's Airbus A330-300 have 3 serving classes: Business, Premium Economy and Economy. As I wrote before we sat at the Premium Economy section for only 22EUR per passenger!
business class

economy class

This is the pitch in Economy Class, not too bad (I'm 1.76)

premium economy

Generous legroom and big screen in front of me!

Cabin is separated from the Economy Class and contains only 21 seats (3 rows of 2-3-2 configuration). Pretty good deal for 22EUR!

We were sitting in the cabin more that 30 minutes until taxi. A view of the Entertainment options (Also got the Business Class's headphones while the Economy Class passengers got inearphones:

Shortly after takeoff, a light meal was served. Actually, I excepted to get a hot meal for a 5.5-hour flight but those are COVID dates…
We'd got alcoholic beverages and unlimited soft drinks.

Hi Yonatan, nice to see one of your reports!
It's nice that so many European carriers are flying widebodies to TLV again. Being able to get a Premium Economy seat for only 22 EUR more on an already good fare is a really good deal for such a long flight. Since they're sold as XL seats on this route, I'd get it for free with my oneworld status, yay.
While the meal isn't up to the standards of true long-haul flights, it is free and has some fresh items, while meals on slightly shorter flights like ATH-MAD have buy-on-board only. And free wine/beer is nice too.
Thanks for sharing!
