I work as a tour guide in Iceland and mid-December is one of the few very quiet times of the year – perfect time to travel. I was planning to go to Gambia with Royal Air Maroc but Morocco decided to cancel all flights to and from the country. I booked a Lufthansa flight from Paris to Cairo only four days before departure at a very reasonable rate of 550 € return in business class, and I had already booked a one-way flight from Paris to Budapest with Swiss. Here are all my flights:
Play, Keflavík to Paris, economy class
Lufthansa, Paris to Munich, business class
Lufthansa, Munich to Cairo, business class
Egyptair, Cairo to Aswan, business class
Egyptair, Aswan to Cairo, business class
Lufthansa, Cairo to Munich, business class
Lufthansa, Munich to Paris, business class
Swiss, Paris to Zurich, business class (here)
Swiss, Zurich to Budapest, business class
Wizzair, Budapest to Keflavík, economy class (no flight report)
This was my third flight out of four on this day.
My Lufthansa flight from Munich arrived next to the gate from where my Swiss flight to Zurich was to leave and also next to the Sheltair Lounge. This lounge is really bad but there is no other lounge at the terminal. I needed Wi-Fi so I went there.

You can find my detailed review about this lounge here.
Fun fact: the broken seats I complained about in my flight review from Paris to Munich had been replaced.

The choice of food was not better than last time.

Two more things about the lounge I forgot to write earlier: the glasses were dirty and two of the three washbasins in the toilets didn't work.
My flight to Zurich was delayed. Gate D56 is right next to the lounge.

Priority boarding was enforced.
The aircraft on this flight was an almost completely brand new A220-300, tail number HB-JCU, registered in May 2021.
Configuration is 2+3 in business class. The seats are the same as in economy class but only one seat is allocated on the left side and only two on the right side (the middle seat is blocked) so you never have a neighbor. The cabin looked nice. I had seat 1A.

There's a small overhead screen the size of a smartphone.

Water, a refreshing towel, a disinfectant and welcome chocolate were distributed right after boarding.
An expected flight time of 55 minutes was announced.
This was my third time on an A220 in a few days and I noticed that PA always echoes. Strange.
Push-back was at 16.00 for a scheduled departure time of 15.15. We took off from runway 08L at 16.14 after a short taxi. The weather was beautiful in Paris so we had some nice views.

The meal was served shortly after take-off: cold meat, mushrooms, cheese and mousse. It was very good, especially for such a short flight. It was much better than what I had on Lufthansa.

The cabin crew was friendly, helpful, talkative, working in a very good mood and there was generally a very good vibe in the cabin. As the flight was late the purser came to me proactively to tell me that my connecting flight at Zurich Airport would be from gate B31. Excellent service.
Our route from Paris to Zurich.

We had fantastic views of the sunset over Switzerland.

We landed at 17.05 for a scheduled arrival time of 16.30.
Hi David, thanks for sharing!
A much better experience than the Egyptair A220 in Business class with much better catering on LX for a similar length flight and, of course, blocked adjacent seats, which make all the difference between J and Y.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi KévinDC, thank you for your comment. Yes, and the LX short-haul business class offered a much better experience compared to LH as well.
