We had close to 3 hours to spend in BKK after we landed from Chiang Mai. We went to grab a snack and headed to the boarding lounge where our Airbus was arriving from it's previous flight.
We were departing from gate A1 on TG 134

The counter is not manned yet but there are indications that we are in the right area.

Our Aircraft has arrived and everyone will start working to turn it around and get ready for it's flight to Chiang Rai.

After a while we start to board HS-TAT, our Airbus 300-600 named Sri Muang.

We are welcomed on board by 2 cabin attendants in true Thai Airways tradition, with a Wai !

Those Airbus 300 still have the very very ancient Business Class…

We are now in our seats, 33J, the legroom !

On our right, our previous chariot in the Star Alliance colors !

People are still boarding the colorful cabin.

Old days passenger control panel.

Let's see what's going on on the Airshow.

Star Alliance Boeing 747 is still there and a Bangkok Airways A320 is going to park !

The Chief Purser starts the video featuring the safety demonstrations.

An Airbus 320 from daughter company Thai Smile is now parked next to us.

We push back on time, good bye Suvarnabhumi ! Bye HS-TGW

This Airbus 300 is the one we took last year going to Chiang Mai.

We meet up with different carriers while taxiing.

We start to run down the runway and a few airplanes are queueing up behind us

We keep climbing towards our cruising altitude over the Thai countryside.

It is a short 1 hour flight, the crew start the service by handing out snack boxes. It is a different one from the CNX-BKK flight.

Sandwiches were OK, there was a tropical cordial juice also.

The crew will then serve tea or coffee and will pick up the snack boxes.

I go to the restrooms all the way down the back of the aircraft.

The galley area while the crew is looking after the people in the cabin.

There you have the different colors of the seat covers.

Crew is still serving hot drinks and picking up the eaten boxes.

There is nothing on the screens so I start to watch American Dad on my tablet.

And we start to descend towards Chiang Rai.

We do our turn and go to the parking area

Everybody is waiting for us to put the blocks on and get the aircraft ready.

After the purple Bangkok jetways, we have green jetways in Chiang Rai !

Now to the baggage area to pick up our bags.

And as it is customary in Thailand, Orchids everywhere !

Welcome to Mae Fah Luang International Airport

Thank you manureva for this new comprehensive report.
Thai is probably one of the last known airline where you get the chance to fly with the dated A300, cabin looks very tired.
Meal box is adequate for such a flight.
Nice pictures too.
Thanks
China Eastern operates eight A300, according to Airfleets.
Thanks for sharing this FR
I like the cabin colours
Collation is decent
See you soon
HS-TAT is only 15 years old, but the cabin is really old school, especially the CRT central IFEs. I still don't like the vivid seat colors. Several aircraft on the tarmac in BKK reminded me of my Taiwanese years. Thanks for this FR !
Thanks for this very nice FR !
