This is trip report is from Jan 2019. I was returning to Sydney after visiting Mumbai. My previous trip can be read here: Trip Report Cathay Pacific CX663 Hong Kong to Mumbai
I booked a Ola to airport, reached airport 3 hours early as there was traffic on the way. Got dropped at Bay 5 as the board was displaying Cathay Pacific.
Checked the flight information outside for check-in counter and gate to enter the terminal. Security checked printed ticket and passport before allowing in terminal.
Check-in counter had opened when I reached.
I had completed the check-in online as I didn't have printed boarding pass and wanted to drop bag, joined the queue. After my previous experience on CX Boeing 777-300ER, I had changed seat from window to aisle while completing the online check-in. I was carrying a light bag, had no issue with weight. Received boarding pass for both flights. Information of gate and closing time was circled on the CX660 boarding pass. Baggage tab was attached to Sydney boarding pass.
Walked towards the security check. Passed my bags through x-ray and then entered the immigration. Immigration queue was long took about 30-40 minutes to clear.
Entered the duty free area after immigration. Passed through the shops. towards food court.
Food court was busy at the time with peak departure time being mid-night .
I had Idli with sambar, chutney and coffee from one of the stores.

Long queue formed to board aircraft stretching up-to escalator.
Boarding was slow for economy class passengers.
Engine view along with Bristish Airways and Jet Airways in view.
Crew welcomed passengers and directed them to seat.
Having selected the aisle seat was much more comfortable.
Pushback commenced on time. As it was a red-eye flight, onboard camera was useless to view outside. Departure was from runway 27 towards west followed by turn north and then East towards Hong Kong. Safety demonstration was shown on personal screen as the aircraft taxied.
After departure flight information was provided. Announcement in progress after departure. Even though the flight was full it wasn't warm but the personal screen glare still there.
Announcement was made breakfast would be served 2 hours before arrival in Hong Kong. I was prepared to wait.
Flying time: 4 hours and 31 mins.
Entertainment on board. I won't be using it as it was sleep time.
Slept for the remainder of flight as cabin light was switched off after departure. Woke as I smelt the food getting ready.
Breakfast was served 2 hours before landing as announced earlier. Option was Veg or Non-veg.
Chose the non-veg option with tea.

Cathay Pacific service was satisfactory, I had changed the seat to aisle and sat in the 3-3-3 row, which made trip comfortable. Flight departed and arrived on time. Hong Kong is a good transit airport . I had a satisfactory flight.
