Hello everyone!
Welcome to my latest flight report from my trip last year to California.
I got my EZE to BOG flights from my old LATAM miles I got many years ago, and finally after the pandemics I could use them. Some days before my departure I got rescheduled a couple of times. My original flight was departing from AEP to SCL and 2 days before they changed the departure airport.
On the day of the flight, I arrived EZE by a shared shuttle from my city Rosario, it’s a 4-hour drive, and the usually drop you 4-5 hours before departure.
Brand new departures terminal at EZE, it was finally opened on June 2023, I got to see some of it this year when I came back from my Europe trip.

I had already checked in to BOG on LATAM´s app. But I had to dispatch my luggage. LATAM counters were almost empty since at that time there were not many flights departing EZE. Most of LA´s operation was moved to AEP.

I passed through security and passport check quickly, but some minutes later a long queue was formed since it’s the busiest hour at EZE. Most of US flights and some to Europe depart between 20 and 24 hours.

My passport and Boarding passes

AA´s Boeing 777 bound for JFK or MIA

Later I found a seat near my gate which was number 1, the nearest to the passport control.

At 20h the incoming LA flight from SCL arrived, and later the boarding was announced. The aircraft was LA Airbus 320 CC-COQ. This was the first week of the end of the mandatory face mask policy. Me and my nose were so pleased.
At 20.30 the boarding was started. I had seat 12F, an emergency exit seat.

I love EZE´s glass jetways.

Plenty of legroom on this row

On the taxing I spotted an Ethiopian Boeing 787 bound for GRU and ADD, and an Aeromexico Boeing 787, departing to MEX.

Finally at 21.20 we departing heading east and then turned towards the west.

On this flight they offer and IFE through Wi-Fi on your device. I used mostly to check the route since it’s a short flight.
They also offer a basic snack including a cereal bar, a small chips bag and soft drinks. Thankfully I had already had diner at Burger King at EZE.

As it is a night flight, I couldn’t see anything of the Andes mountains. On daytime flights you can get amazing views. That’s the reason I didn’t take many pics from this point.
At 23 the captain announced we were descending and 20 minutes later we landed at SCL airport.
Disembarkment was quick as most passengers had tight connections. I still had over 1 hour to my BOG flight.
This was my first time at SCL´s new international terminal. I was amazed by how huge it is and how long are the walking distances from when you land to where you depart.

Hola Viajero90!!! Qué bueno leerte de nuevo!
Oh!
Interesting to see the difference on this route pre and post-Covid. I'm pretty sure there was a light meal before Covid...like a sandwich or something...not it's just a snack which is too bad. Good thing you had an exit row because the legroom is really tight on these planes with the older cabins. I much prefer the newer cabins. I will say that these older seats are nicely padded and comfortable.
Thanks for sharing!
Hey! Thanks for your comment. I flew many times on LATAM regional routes, such as EZE-GRU, AEP-SCL, BOG-LIM. They used to offer a small sandwich with a drink and a candy. I doubt they´ll improve the meal service.
Cheers!
