PRIMO VOLO SU NUOVO AEREOPORTO SIEM REAP
We left from BANGKOK airport to arrive at the new SIEM REAP – SAI airport opened to traffic only a few weeks earlier.
We disembarked at Bangkok airport from the flight from Dubai and wandered around the airport a bit to stretch our legs a bit.

We then went to the BANGKOKAIRWAYS lounge which is open to everyone even to those flying in Economy.
We are provided with a code for timed WIFI access and snacks and tea and coffee are available.
The lounge is nice and allows you to isolate yourself from the typical confusion of large airports like Bangkok.…

Finally the boarding time arrives which happens quickly and they make us reach the plane with the Bangkokaiways bus.

Let's wander around the airport ground for a bit…….

……..we reach the pitch where our HS-PZJ awaits us with its colorful livery.

We go up and sit in our seats 8A and 8B and wait for the boarding procedures to finish ……..

…..and finally the plane moves……..

…….. we reach the runway, but we have to wait for our turn to take off.
With a little delay at 5.47pm we take off and the flight should last about 1 hour and 20 minutes, but we know that we will then recover in flight.

Taking off from Bangkok airport is always beautiful especially if you see the colors of the sunset.

As soon as we arrive at altitude, the on-board staff starts serving the meal and, since we chose the meal when booking, we are served before the others.
In addition to the metal cutlery there is also a fabric napkin… a real luxury… but we are on an ASIA'S BOUTIQUE AIRLINES plane.
The food is up to par with this company that surprises me again and again.
The flight goes smoothly, and as expected, a little earlier than the scheduled time, we land in Siem Reap at 6.47pm.

We head to the airport on foot. and we leave the plane on the runway while the baggage unloading operations proceed.

The airport is the new Siem Reap International Airport, SAI, open just over 20 days ago and the luggage arrives immediately, not even enough time to go through the airport formalities.
The airport is really big and everything is still new.

Unfortunately I don't have photos of the airport for this trip, but for future reports….
