Intro
Hello everyone!
Today ends my Bali 2024 trip. Very sad that my trip ends, but happy we are flying back today with Emirates their A380-800 to Dubai to then do a 3-hour layover there to get to our next flight to Amsterdam (below you can see our flight itineraries for our Bali trip 2024). Furthermore, today is a redeye flight. I enjoy the sunshine for a while and then head to Bali Denpasar airport.

I am going to miss the Bali sun!!!

Bali Denpasar Ngurah Rai airport.
I arrived at Bali's international airport: Denpasar, Ngurah Rai airport. It's a big airport, with lots of places to eat. I enjoyed the Balinese smells for a while, and then I entered the airport.

As you can see, it is very big. This terminal is for international flights, further down there is one for domestic flights. You go through a small security check first, then you are at the check-in counters. Then you have to go through the real security and last but not least the Passport check, at the time I was there everything went quickly and easily. (Tip: don't arrive too early! This is because before the check-in desk opens, a very large queue will form. This quickly fills up when the check-in desk opens. If you come a little later, it will already be empty.

After checking in, I came out to the shops and eateries. I bought a bowl of chips for the plane. The airport was clean and well-maintained. Toilets at my gate were clean, and the cleaner went by the toilets a lot to keep it as clean as possible. Other than that, there was little litter to be seen.

Boarding
This is the aircraft for today: an Airbus A380-800 with the regristration A6-EOX. Sorry for the reflection, I couldn't get a good photo. When boarding started it felt like everyone wanted to get in, the many staff made sure this went quickly. They made sure your boarding zones were divided over two gates. We had to scan our boarding pass at a another gate, then we had to go down and then we had to go to a large corridor and then we got to our plane. (Yes I also found it difficult to understand how I got into the plane through another gate)

Boarding went very well, at the door of the plane there were two cabin staff, they were very nice and said which corridor I had to go up to get to my seat. My first impression with the cabin crew was that they were well-trained and very nice.

This is my seat for the day: 73A. It has lots of legroom and a mega screen! The plane had cameras that allowed you to look outside, very nice. You also had a USB charger in your seat and you had game console. The headphones were also good.

Pushback has begun, time to take off! Note that the A380-800 has very large windows!

Cruising
Before I knew it, we were in the air, and the redeye flight was really just beginning. Just after take-off, food was served. I unfortunately did not take a picture of it but it was chicken with a pasta salad and a nice dessert of chocolate. It was quite tasty and the nice thing about Emirates is that you get real metal forks and knives instead of platic forks and knives. Other than that, I watched 2 films and I slept until breakfast: I chose the stir-fried noodles with chicken. It was a nice breakfast, you also got a nice breadroll to go with it. I went to the toilet en saw that it was very clean. As I said in the beginning of this review, I said that the crew was well trained. Well, they actually were, the toilets were cleaner than the toilets on the airport. 30 minutes later we were decending and ready for landing. I took a nice picture of dubai! I always love the skyline of Dubai.

Before I knew it, we had landed (the landing was so soft you felt almost nothing).

Landing
I landed in Dubai, in the review from Dubai DXB to Amsterdam AMS there are things described about this beautiful and clean airport. Further, thanks for reading. I definitely give Emirates a high rating. Thank you!
Hi there, nice first report! Good details and photos, just missing photos of the meals, as you mentioned (next time!). The A380 is one of the most comfortable ways to fly long-haul in Economy with such wide seats and all the good amenities EK offer.
Thanks for sharing and looking forward to future reports!
Welcome to Flight-Report!
Hey! Soon I will travel to Bali again but then with China Airlines, this time I will make pictures of the meals as you mentioned 😉. Thanks for your comment 😀
